These are the figures from the same journo yesterday. Dont know the exact exchange rate but would think these convert to higher figures than what was being reported on this side. So perhaps the numbers are elevated again with the new deal.

Thought there might a bit of positivity with deal back on, regardless of buy or loan, nah same crap.

Why should we be positive?

Kaminski, Phillips and Wharton gone for £25 million + and all we get in return is loans of untested players

The head coach hasnt got what he wanted again!

I don't believe those numbers involved. Admittedly we're going to have to pay more as an overall package, but those numbers make no sense. If we can't scrape together the money now, Orlando will know there's no way of us paying a fee that high.

There is the argument he could perform well and his stock rise enabling them to get a better deal, but equally, what if he flops. His transfer value would be shot.

I'm assuming Sigurðsson still counts as a loan. We loaned him for the season with no fee and he's then signed a pre-contract with us which in theory should only be triggered when his contact with Cska Moscow expires.

He's never been a loan as he has suspended his contract with CSKA.

That Koumetio interest is so damn predictable. I was one window out, when saying we'd be in for him last summer. Not what we need. No thanks.

Also, that breakdown of the McGuire deal, if it is true, is just an American twist on the O'Brien deal. Not a chance we will be paying £6m-7m, potentially rising to £8m, to permanently sign McGuire. IMO, it's quite simply a loan and then goodbye, at the end of the season.

No issue with seeing how he does on loan for us, the bigger issue is the morons keeping hold of the big transfer fee received and having us MAKE DO with loan signings. As is standard for them.

It's not "back on" as such though is it? It's turned from a permanent deal to a loan we'll never make permanent.

If he does well on loan, great, but after that we'll have flushed away another £500k and be back to square one.

Why the **** are we loaning a 21 year old defender. It's the most pointless transfer decision ever. We have Hyam, Wharton, McFadzean, O'Riordan and then Gamble as our own youngster (that's without even accounting for the injured Carter).

We do not need a 21 year old loaned defender. I'd barely accept it if we were paying £0 fee and £0 wages each week, as it's a waste of a loan spot.

Only sense I see is he is left footed, so cheap cover for Wharton at left centre back

This is underwhelming garbage.  No strategy, no real direction, just desperately filling the squad with bodies.  No way are we signing McGuire permanently if the figures are even close to what is reported. Just another loan to tide us over until May, and then the cycle will start again.

Ennis to stoke reported by Bayes. That's like an RKO out of nowhere.

Nathan Jones called the Ennis stoke deal earlier. As well as the McGuire deal falling thru. Got loads of crap for it as well. Not liked by many but he's got a few right
