Would love to have the time and energy to post a more lengthy response but:

Delighted Ishmael has gone.

Sick of his absolutely appalling excuses that had very little factual basis or credibility.

The crap football and awful results were pretty wearing too.

He was dealt a bad hand, no a terrible hand  - although sympathy is limited both due to his complicity and how badly he played that hand.

Like with Coyle, it seems the sacking comes after/at the end of the transfer window seemingly so the new manager has one less opportunity to request players.

The above point shows how impossible it is for anyone to succeed with such awful senior management.

And we have that because of such awful owners. Not too much has changed...

Wayne Rooney would be interested in this and without a doubt would catch the eye of decision makers. He'd be a great distraction for RG and SP.

No chance IMO, he brings a media circus and huge scrutiny, which I imagine our owners would want to avoid. We'd become 'Wayne Rooney's Blackburn' and Sky sports would be all over it.

He also doesn't seem to be a very good manager.

Club have confirmed Johnson in charge for tomorrow which we all guessed would be the case

33-1 has been the magic number - quick check:

Karanka
Phil Jones
Chris Coleman
Ruud v Nistleroy
John Eustace 🤣

Edit: meanwhile at 25-1 we have David Lowe... (seems like someone didn't get the memo)

Well that will be a cheap option.

Mowbray should be left well alone. The guy deserves a quiet retirement after his serious health scare.

David Wagner currently favourite gone from 5/1 to 7/4

Try not to pay too much notice. It's a tiny market so any bets placed massively distort the market. If we all suddenly put a tenner on Mr Blobby he would become a favourite within a few minutes. He wouldn't be worse than Ismael either.

If we win tomorrow I reckon they'll give it to Johnson.

They'll want an easy and cheap solution to this and a result or two together with ex-player syndrome will do the trick there

Ah! I see. Point taken 👍👍

We’d still be seen as a good stepping stone into managing on English shores for a foreign coach.

Freyr Alexandersson currently at Brann maybe, experience of a relegation dogfight in Belgium on his CV.

Bet Rudy wouldn’t mind Wilfried Nancy though..:..

Yep he'll get a couple of games then if it goes ok he'll be given it till the end of the season.

Don’t think our knows know who he is and if they do likely think he’s still playing. Could be that big striker signing we were promised

Plucking managers from relegated second division clubs as well as players? 🤔

I wouldn't want Phil Jones as manager but I wouldn't be against him being part of the coaching team. He seems very driven, switched on, and knows the club inside out.

Big Sam with Phil Jones as assistant. You read it here first 😆

If there is any accountability Gestede should also go.

He hired him. He signed all the dross we have now. He is to blame.

Get rid.

The most Blackburn Rovers thing in the world would be if we brought in Mowbray and 6 months later he 'helped' the club out in the search for a CEO by bringing back his old mate Waggott to replace the failed Gestede 😂 (different job titles i know).

Before Waggott got here all our managers came from HSH (Lambert, Coyle, Mowbray). Suhail definitely appears to be friendly with one or more of their directors.

They absolutely had their claws in at Rovers and their noses in the trough until Waggott cut them off. See Craig Honeyman’s bitter Twitter account for the fallout.

I’ve just found out that Gregory Vignal is a client of theirs. Looks like they are back. HSH is basically the remnants of SEM Kentaro by the way.

I’d put my money on one of the following:

Lee Grant
Sami Hyppia
Anthony Hudson
Pep Lijnders
David Artell
Neil Lennon
Lee Grant
Darren Potter
Mark Robins
Uwe Hunemeir
Lee Carsley
Mike Garrity
George Boateng
Richie Barker
Stuart Taylor
Alex Tettey
