Bellamy was so quick but also technically superb. He did a few things Ive only seen Henry do. The end to end goal against Boro was absolutely ridiculous.

He did okay career wise but he should have done much better with his talent,  just such a total knobhead unfortunately.

Plus like a lot of explosively quick players he was prone to muscle injuries.

All in all I feel Travis will leave, if in that case then it's critical we spend to fill that gap.

In the last 30 years  we've had some top quality strikers:  

Shearer, Sutton, Cole,  Bellamy, Santa Cruz, McCarthy, Matt Jansen..

...and they all graced this club in the 15 yrs before you rocked up.  

The best you've given us is Rhodes, Armstrong, Brereton and Szmodic.

It's beyond embarrassing that he's just assembling last year's squad (as much of it as he can).

It's also beyond embarrassing that "better the devil you know, we could have been Derby" are spending £11m+ this window.

This sort of thing used to happen in the early to mid 70's when Ken Furphy took Tony Field and Terry Garbutt with him to Sheffield United and Gordon Lee took Sir Roger Jones and Graham Oates with him to Newcastle.

But back then we genuinely didn't have a pot to piss in, and the players concerned were moving up to the top flight from a division (or two) below.

We didn't have billionaire owners and the players weren't being forced to make a sideways move to Clubs in the same division for more money.

Fuck off Venky's, Pasha and Gestede.

Derby are spending a good amount of cash.

However....in their shoes, would we be happy as fans? The players they are signing didnt manage to get Rovers into the playoffs last year and lets not forget Eustace hadn't won a game with them in 11. The football was bleak.

Obviously, I'd rather we kept (some) of them and we were spending. 

Perhaps Eustace is still rather bitter.....

Didn't the late great Howard Kendall pilfer a few from this club after he left for Everton ?

It happens, if you work with good players you're going to want to take them with you but you need you're new club to back you and pay them.

That's a luxury, how do we know he didn't want to sign a load of Brum players when he came here and they went down but was told no chance ?

That was the game when Savage got sent off fairly early IIRC. Bellamy won us that game almost single-handed.

Although seemed to be a knob-end as a bloke - I guess that was partly due to his ultra-competitiveness that made him perform like he did in that match.
