Unless we’re signing Morishita and Afolayan!? 👀

Yeah I don't think he's the RW signing so I reckon we'd still be looking at Afolayan too.

If we can get these signings over the line then we could actually have a very exciting squad full of pace and athleticism. Not sure the last time we had a squad that had those traits. We've been a very one-paced team for a long time.

He's apparently a left wing back who can also play left wing or left back. Very good going forward.

Very reputable sources saying it's a done deal so I expect this one will happen. Looks like a real coup.

Interesting that we're signing a left sided player when we're well covered on that side and it's never been mentioned that we're after a player in that position. It is needed though as De Neve and Hedges should be back up players.

Seems like a fairly nomadic career has kicked on since he was played as a winger. I dont think he will be signing as anything but a winger.

You mentioned Legia fans going mad @Paul Mani and I have seen similar. I have sometimes been criticised but its always a good indication IMO, whether it be good or bad. He seems very popular there. Reason I mention is that one person said that he is their only winger.

Surely in the general scheme of things another left sided player is the last thing we need with Kargbo,  De Neve and Hedges already on the books?

(Albeit the latter two are crap)

6 goals 5 assists last season. Still got a few years on his contract with Legia so not sure he'll be a cheap one. Do they have financial issues?

He wasn't his usual self in the post match interaction with the travelling support, that's for sure. Nice lad and a great positive around the dressing room, but no great loss if he was to move on. Maybe to a club that can develop him further, and polish out his obvious flaws whilst optimising his strengths.

If he were younger I'd loan him out to a League 1 club but he's 27 or 28?

Not shooting the messenger but about the same as Dolan then and most people reckoned he was crap?

Agreed - of course we should consider context (if there’s ongoing beef between the fanbase and a player etc) but when a transfer like this breaks and the fans come out going mad because “he’s our best player” then that’s a great sign.

Defo a winger too, based on that video. Looks like he can play of the left or right and off both feet.

Hopefully get this one done 🤞🏽

The total Legia wage bill is less than 40% that of Rovers so there is probably a lot of scope to pay Morishita a significant wage rise and keep under the club's newly imposed 10k per week maximum.

Pasha's attitude towards players is that they are commodities so anything is possible this week.

I saw this get corrected to 13 and 13 somewhere….

Aside from that last season when he spent most of it injured, Gallagher tended to score around 9 goals a season. Still not many but more than Gueye.

Neither is MILES better than the other, both are pretty poor. You say goal instinct and touch of a centre half, Gueye plays with that too.

I know you nailed your colours to the mast by eulogising over Gueye after 20 minutes of a friendly but he is not good enough. He summed himself up yesterday when he lacked the intelligence to even try and stay onside before blazing his finish over.

He wouldn't score 18 goals, but he'd have far more Goals and Assists than Gallagher. He leads the line better than anyone we've had for a while - he holds the ball up and brings others into play.

He's a 6'5" CF that wins almost everything in the air and we've never, ever consistently crossed the ball into the box for him. Only Brittain was able to put in good service for him - Hedges and Dolan just hit and hoped on their crosses.

As for yesterday - it's very difficult to get back onside once you've made your run. I'd have to look at it again, but Cantwell was showboating at that point - he could have put Hendrikson in for a clear chance in the second half, but wanted another goal - and delayed the pass. Also it was saved by the GK.

I'm not saying he's the next Drogba, but the disrespect he gets on here is baffling. We're in the Championship, all of our players have serious flaws, yet Gueye is one of the few that seems to be constantly dragged over the coals for his.

I'd hope Morishita is a Buckley replacement.

Would seem underwhelming if he's the right winger we're signing.

Cantwell will be playing the bulk of the games in behind the striker, he's captain he'll play whenever he's fit.

Any signings have to be playing in other positions. This guy must be playing on the wing.

As they used to say on Stingray "Anything can happen in the next half hour!"

I suppose Gestede was right to a degree when he said the window was going to be "exciting" if you can call being stuck on a runaway train or a car where the brakes have gone, and you're wondering whether you're going to survive or be completely wiped out, "exciting".

You know somet is wrong if Gueye isn’t happy, didn’t think any of them looked as happy as they would do last season.

Having said that, they've not exactly stormed the early part of the season so far, have they? If we were to go on a decent run, I'm sure we would see a lot more excitement and energy post match from the players. Anyway, most of them have only just been introduced, so it is a little early for bonding and 'team spirit' to have developed.

Can he take set pieces?

We're leaving so many goals on the table by having Cantwell as our primary set piece taker - we're such a big team now. He put in on good ball yesterday and Hyam hit the bar - it doesn't take a rocket scientist to realise a good set piece taker would make us a nightmare to play against.

Not me, rated him. Unmatched work ethic.

Ohashi finally got a partner .. they been looking for another Japanese player ever since Yuki arrived ….. The least they will give you is hard work ..  Been an exciting window up to now … Ismael Adam Owen & Gestede have done well on the limited budget … Like someone else said I love Japanese players .. they are exciting and a rising power in football …. More the merrier…..

Completely agree on the value of Japanese players. They have a great work ethic and they seem to assimilate really quickly which is probably a reflection of Japanese culture.

And from Rovers perspective they don't cost a fortune. 😂
