Genuinely would have bought it, if it didn’t have the Venkys logo on the sleeve.

It doesn't, you only add that on if you want it.

That is optional when you buy the shirt. If it wasn't Rovers know they wouldn't well as many.

Nice enough but nothing special or unique about it, people really go over the top with this 3rd kit lark these days.

Marketing men's wet dreams £££

Me too. That's what made me buy the Toff's 1960 FA Cup kit instead of a new kit. I'm not advertising those fuckers.

I'm not sold on it tbh, I get the angle of it sure and I'm not, coming from the "hate everything the club does" route either.

Just not a green person I guess.

That being said, I'm enjoying the ethos of incorporating the town into it, museum, Borough colours and now looking forward to see the anniversary shirt. Just keep the Venkys off it.

The only disappointment I have is I wished they'd gone with this, nod to the 50/60s also

The town crest should have been on the Home shirt for this season imo

Nothing against the colour as such but probably a standard Macron shirt colour and somebody has come up with a dubious link to the town crest which nobody would have spotted if they hadn't mentioned it. Nothing 150ish about it.

And a white rose !! Very forgettable shirt

I actually think this could be a beauty - I hope they don’t mess it up.

The bee crest with gold trim on the kit.

I still would have preferred our season home kit to be the anniversary kit - but I guess it’s all about making money now and selling multiple kits

I should kept my mouth shut, absolutely nothing unique about that shirt at all - it’s just another usual away/3rd kit.

Do we have anybody in a position who actually knows what they’re doing at this club?

Is anyone else not slightly annoyed that we will be sporting a white rose on our away shirts this season?

Well the press release on the rovers site even says "while the red rose of Lancashire, a symbol of identity and pride, stands proudly as a shared emblem between club and borough." 🙄

I'd say the relation is easy to see, but each to their own view.

The relation is “it’s green”.

Had the opportunity to do so much more. It’s a smart shirt but absolutely nothing unique to our 150th anniversary. It’s just a green away kit - oh with a white badge too.

- unique badge, unique sponsor, gold trim, something unique to the Blackburn area in the background, legend player names in the background, trophy cabinet / success years in the background

All simple things that would elevate a 150th kit to be different to the usual 2nd/3rd strip and it looks like none were done

I think the 3rd kit looks smart and look the contrast of the shirt and its similar to the shirt a work colleague shown me this morning of what it was going to announce.

Will be buying it tomorrow

EDIT

See the bend in the road from the post card, it resembled this area circled. The link says higher church st. Makes sense.

The Supporters Trust, WATR, have repeatedly asked for a blue plaque at the site of Rovers formation.  It is “being considered”……as it has for the last 12 months.

Yup anything and everything is about the £ now we are completely run by outsiders and not even a Waggot who being a North East fella at least had a modicum of football in his blood.

The prospect of Suhail, Gestede and the Indian finance fella having carte blanche to run this club the next few years under ever increasing constraints is horrific.

They understand nothing except basic maths.

As for the Derby game it should be fans day again and £10 a ticket with kids a quid but almost certain they'll kill it with ticket prices and it'll get moved for the telly box anyway.

There ought to be one as well as a statue. It's been 150year

They understand the value of £0 so that's what the fans should be giving them.
