In terms of mid-table (where I think we truly rank), PNE and Watford draw and Charlton, Hull and Leicester lose. I think Coventry and Ipswich will cruise the top 2 after Christmas. Boro, Stoke, Saints, Birmingham to make up the top 6. The likes of PNE, Hull, Millwall, Bristol City, Derby are miles off those mentioned above IMO. Yes I see Ipswich are on the up. Probably 3 points we will have lost there, buggar. Thise 3 points and a win tomorrow we'd be in the mix. Quote
bazza Posted yesterday at 10:10 Posted yesterday at 10:10 What's happened to Szmodics at Ipswich? Is he injured? When he plays he doesn't seem to score many. Quote

superniko Posted yesterday at 11:37 Posted yesterday at 11:37 Swansea are in free-fall, would be a nice team to drop as it's miles from anywhere. If we can trade Norwich / Pompey / Swansea for a Stockport / Bolton / Huddersfield / Bradford I'd be delighted! 2 Quote

"Who would want to buy a football club that loses tens of millions a year?" Turns out people are queuing up to do it. That's not what we're usually told. Same as with Coventry and Derby in the last few years. They got new owners and didn't end up with Bury in NW Counties equivalent. Crowds way up at both clubs and both above us in the table. Oh well 8 Quote
riverholmes Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago (edited) Seeing Devlin sent off for Portsmouth against Sheffield Utd brought back memories of Paul Devlin, the Sheffield Utd player. He was at his peak as a midfielder in the days Rovers were on the rise from the second tier with our own stars in Duff, Dunn, Jansen and co. Football seemed more exciting back then, though could well have to do with the fact of our current fate. Edited 19 hours ago by riverholmes Quote

Oh well And Bolton and Potsmouth and Wrexham.....Bury still get same crowds they did in the football league, if not bigger too. Its not the end, its a fresh start. Clubs need to hit rock bottom to bounce back. We'll have nothing but apathy by the time we do due to the slow death we are having Quote
danger19_80 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Mike Ashley trying to buy Wednesday. Christ, could you imagine. We finally get rid of Venky's and then he schleps up. Quote

I was watching an episode of the premiership on youtube a while back, every pass forward, people running at players, 2 up top, barely a refs whistle stopping play every 5 seconds. Its like a different sport. 4 Quote

He would be such a massive step up from them. And yes, I am well aware of how shit he is. Quote
