Brilliant performance today. Have to say Cantwell was unreal, giving him the captaincy looks a masterstroke from VI.

Also special mention for Hedges today, he was great and looks so much better on the left. Overall everyone did their job

Who is our new left winger? Hedges or something. Looks class.

On a serious note, we were excellent from start to finish and should have won about 0-5.

Alebiosu has been a surprise hit so far. Looks like a very good player.

Great performance - first time all summer I've not been convinced we're going down without a whimper.

I've been one of Cantwell's major critics but that was one of the best performances I've seen from anyone in a Rovers shirt for a long time.

Hedges very good also - they've set the bar for their performances now and need to stick to it, not revert to type.

Well done to players and Ismael who I've also dished out plenty of stick to - by far the best game under his tenure imo - we need a lot more of the same.

Henriksson is a bit clunky isn't he? His demeanor and mannerisms remind me of JRC

I don't think the black boots help his look.

He's clearly quite skillful, but yeah he's a gangly athlete.

Football is full of surprises - sometimes they aren't nasty ones either!

Well done the lads today, and safe home for the faithful who made the pilgrimage across the M62. Enjoy the singing and laughter for a change.

Maybe there is a God, after all...

McBurnie has always been a twat. His footballing ability has never matched his ego.

And yet I’d still rather have him than gueye 🫣 he is an absolute twat though

Yea Kargbo needs to get a footballing brain if he is going to be useful.

Not making a case either way but his pass for the goal was class. All good players have the ability to stand still in the penalty box and assess options -just what he did for a sweet 2 yard pass to Hedges.

He'll be on triple the wages we're paying Gueye (and yes he's a much better player).

Ismael looked angry at the end there, wonder what’s up?

Probably pissed off McBurnie attacked his CB and got him booked after the final whistle.

Hopefully Baradji will slot in nicely...

We need the depth badly.

Montgomery didn't look out of place today when he came on, but he wasn't asked to do much. Tavares seems to tire at the hour mark so we definitely need someone we trust on the bench.

Rovers 2 nil. Ohashi and Cantwell. Cantwell to give a captain performance with a goal and assist today.

Great support from Rovers fans taking over 1k supporters there today. Let's hope Rovers can win and make each one of their supporters who travelled there proud and delight with 3 points.

Playing in our 3rd strip today.

What did i say about Chaddy being more on the money than most? 🤣

Oh shit I didn’t see that, popped away to get another celebratory beer haha. McBurnie’s such a wanker.

Thought the real standouts were Alebiousu , Hedges and Cantwell. All were really superb. McCloughlin looks a top addition as well both from today and the two prior games.

All in all despite us as fans mostly jumping off the deep end its hard really to look at the first three games and say the squad quality has decreased really. Alebiousu looks a superb alternative to Brittain, McCloughlin has give us what Batth did. Toth looks better than Pears, Kargbo to me looks a similar sort of level to Dolan albeit in a different sort of way.

Only area that worries me in terms of being weaker than last term is central midfield where I think we did miss Travis' energy when Hull got on top for a bit in the first half. Tavares its way too early to conclusively judge but I am not at all convinced. He seems to want to dictate more than get stuck in and him and Tronstad make an awkward pair imo. Figuring out the long term partner for Tronstad is key.  Hope Tavares can up his tempo a bit and grow into the role as he obviousy does have some quality. But he's going to have to get a lot fitter.

Obviously we need a bit more upfront too. Ohashi's workrate is immense and he deserved his goal, and Hedges had one of his best ever games, and Kargbo played a lovely pass for the first goal. But Gueye was very poor again when he came on and Henricksson is not looking like a big impact player so far. We probably need two proven attacking players who the opposition would really fear coming off the bench.

Excellent performance that.  Thought Hull were poor - maybe we just made them look awful.

Being picky.  A better forward line and we'd have had 6. Gueye particularly poor that last 10 mins.

Edit:  Thought Toth had a solid game too.
