Mercer Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Just a gut feeling Rovers pull off a surprise win today. Chucked a few quid at it at 23/10. 1 Quote

Be very interesting to see a breakdown of the particular deal 🤔 So....20% to the selling club, 20% to the surgeon....60% to the agent? 1 Quote
Ossydave Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Well that's completely fucked it, thanks Mercer. Good to see Morishita getting a start today, in a grim transfer window he's pretty much the only potentially exciting addition for me. Yuki up top on his own not ideal but suppose we'll ease Gudjohnsen in. Hedges needs to replicate his previous goal and Carter needs to stay fit, not much to ask for. Going for 1-1. Quote
philipl Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago (edited) Axel broken hand so not travelled. I had forgotten about him. Would be a bit off for Gudjonsson to star against France and go on the bench today. Andre up top and the Japanese lads on the flanks? Edited 7 hours ago by philipl Quote

It just smells of some of the stuff we've seen in the past. Bring him in - get commission Get him fit then a large pay per game fee - Commission In the shop window hopefully plays well and earns a contract, not necessarily here - Commission. Proper 'vehicle' stuff. 2 Quote

Ismael suggested that with Gudjohnsen adjusting to the league and having only trained once, that he is unlikely to need to be chucked in like Henriksson was. 1 Quote

Why would we need to chuck in a goal-scorer, into our prolific team ? 2 Quote

sharpysharps86 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago If Carter lasts more than a half I'll be impressed. The boy is held together by tape and string. Pleased to see Mori starts. Always felt it would be too soon for Gudjohnsen given the lack of training he's had with the team so no surprise him on the bench. Generally that side is probably as good as we can muster up at the moment. Tavares in the middle is a worry though, seems far too casual, but I suppose he'll only be able to really change that with game time and experience at this level. Quote

I am willing to accept that some of the new players will come good, and in a couple of cases, given time, they may even end up being better than who they replaced. but there has certainly been another reduction in what wages we are paying Edited 3 hours ago by KentExile Quote
JCRovers Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Starting Carter feels very risky given he broke down after 40 minutes in the first pre-season friendly vs Accrington, was subsequently ruled out for over a month and hasn't played any minutes in the league yet. Another note is that our cover in central midfield on the bench looks like a joke; a kid who's not ready for Championship football and a last-minute loan from a league rival who has played one minute this season. Lancaster Rover Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Tavares in midfield giving them license to do whatever they like through the middle of the pitch. Quote

Carter is a better CB than Hyam - his problem is staying fit. I've seen enough out of Alebiosu to say he's at least equal to Brittain. I obviously disliked Dolan so I have to think Morishita is better. Quote
