Trouble is in terms of goal threat he offers zero... Quote

TommyRovers Posted October 4 Posted October 4 Ribeiro is half the player he was last season. Would drop him for Pickering personally. Hedges is Hedges. Gudjohnsen should have buried that but won't take the slander against him. There's a real player there. He's just playing in a poor underperforming team. We really miss a Travis in midfield. 2 Quote
Backroom Tom Posted October 4 Backroom Posted October 4 Would you make any subs at half time? I’d be tempted to give Andri Lucas Guðjohnsen some more time but consider bringing on Yūki Ōhashi or Makhtar "Pape" Gueye if things don’t improve. Whilst Ryōya Morishita hasn’t been fully involved he did put that chance on a plate for Andri Lucas Guðjohnsen earlier so I’d leave him on, I’d like to see Per Axel Nils Henriksson at some point 9 Quote

Ricky Posted October 4 Posted October 4 3 minutes ago, Ricky said: No idea why the commentators keep referring to the Sorba Thomas chance in 10 seconds. Offside was given wasn’t it? I’m sure there was no corner following the save. If they are going to talk about that then they should talk about Gudjonnsen scoring from the offside cross. Just seen the replay and it was an offside after the shot. I was only half watching and thought one of their players had been offside in the build up so ignore me. Quote

Young lad on loan up front and Thomas who has scored 11 in 7 seasons etc. it’s an average league. A good coach goes a very long way in this division. Quote
Backroom Tom Posted October 4 Backroom Posted October 4 Weird half though we haven’t played well but could easily have gone in leading. Cantwell looking dangerous again and we do create down the right but our left hand side of attack and up front is looking toothless. 1 Quote
Bohinen1983 Posted October 4 Posted October 4 How many fans do you think we've got on today? I think it's been forgotten that ambition and entertaining football which excites gets bums on seats. To me, as a supporter I feel disconnected from the club. There appears to be absolutely no ambition to get promoted. I don't know how they can sit there in a sparce Ewood Park, look around and not feel utterly embarrassed. Shell of a club. Desperately need rid of Venkys. 5 Quote

Dolan's work rate, the little trickery, and the linkup play and his decent G/A contribution. And he went away for almost free. 1 Quote

Hes obviously got an attitude problem, and Ismael clearly dislikes him, but we have few options so we need to figure out how to get him back to his best. 1 Quote

We had the two clearest chances and have the higher xG (of which the Gudjohnson chance doesn’t even count for because the donkey couldn’t get a shot off). They’ve had all the possession and pass through us easily, but we’ve had the clear cut chances easily, usually from counter attack or Stoke mistakes Quote
chaddyrovers Posted October 4 Posted October 4 Satisfied with that. Couple of good chances with Cantwell and Gudjohnsen. Couple of others. Stoke's right winger is danger man for them. 3 points there for us. Cantwell to get the winner for us 2 Quote

I'd be trying to find a way to get Henriksson on the pitch, but that would mean dropping Cantwell / putting him out wide. As crap as Hedges is going forward he puts in a shift so you can't really do that. Quote
RevidgeBlue Posted October 4 Posted October 4 Only caught the last 15 mins of the half, we didnt look particularly good but had one or two chances. Sadly looks as though the only realistic threat of a goal comes from Cantwell. Thomas putting a much better shift in than he ever did us. Looked like he really didnt want to be here when he was with us. Toth fortunate when he parried the shot straight back out in front of him before the end of the half. Given the pitch problems apt choice of music just then playing Gimmee Shelter by the Rolling Stones......"Oooo the storm is rising" 1 Quote

Exiled_Rover Posted October 4 Posted October 4 Just noticed how heavily strapped up Cantwell is. Quote
RTM08 Posted October 4 Posted October 4 Scored 0 conceded 6 after the hour mark - if that's not a damning indictment of Ismael's inability to affect a game positively I don't know what is. Quote
yellowsubmarine Posted October 4 Posted October 4 Gudjohnsen changed to short sleeves for 2nd half. He will score a goal. Quote

Probably won't matter, Ryan will miss a sitter, Balazs will throw one in his own net and Sorba will seal the deal. Quote
