Just a word on De Neve. May not be a world beater but he is certainly showing improvement on his earlier performances.

Thought he worked tremendously hard as well. Deserving his place in the side atm.

Also nice little cameo from Montgomery I thought.

He is so one dimensional and lacks intelligence. He grafts, hes up and down and is fairly quick. But he just runs in a straight line and if he cant cross the ball doing so, he runs out of ideas, and when he does cross it invariably doesnt lead to chances.

Well, Ismael has got a lot of abuse on here quite rightly over recent weeks in terms of his subs, calling out players etc. But christ he got them to worm hard yesterday. In terms of effort we were absolutely relentless.

Generally across the season we've been pretty decent in midfield & defence; but then dont finish easy chances and give away soft goals from nowhere. Looked like that would be the story yesterday - luckily Armstrong was as poor as us with his finishing and we got a couple of scruffy goals.

Hopefully the confidence that will build in Gudjonsen will make a big impact. Defensively it feels to me we really need Carter back as we miss his pace. I like Miller, very committed and physical. But when hes beaten he is not recovering, and you can say the same for Wharton and McCloughlin.

I kind of expected the heads to go down, particularly when we went behind, so was really pleasantly surprised by how they kept going and going.

High point for me was when Miller, I think it was, put that Southampton player over the barrier. That was a John Bray style tackle. A real “ quietener “.

Hmm all i have seen is him beat his man consistently and while his crosses have been erratic, but quite a few times he has delivered decent balls where the finishing has let them down.

Hes done well for me. Obviously hes not Roberto Carlos but compared to the various wing backs or full backs weve had turn out for us over the last 15 years he doesnt seem particularly worse.

Give him some space and he can run past people. If a defender fronts him up he has to play the ball back into midfield again. He hasn’t got a trick in his locker. If we are going to play with a left wing back Ismael obviously thinks he’s a better bet than either of Ribeiro or Pickering.

Yep 100% said the same, he's really come out his shell and found his rhythm certainly early his spot and can deliver some crucial balls into the box. His effort hasn't gone unnoticed, I'm quietly proud of him he's not your full on media bells n whistles player as we knew from the beginning quiet lad loves playing football, good on him 👏👏👏 stood and applauded his exit yesterday, deserved it

A major concern is Tronstad who I don't think looks too interested and bothered.

Agree with the rest but I dont think this bit is particularly fair. He was more happy than anyone on the pitch after the game.

I think Tronstad has struggled a but this season, if you think back to last season he had Dolan and Brittain to the right of him, Travis next to him and Batth and Hyam behind him.

I feels like he's trying a bit too much more this season as the quality around him has dropped quite drastically and its having an affect on his game.

Still one of our most important players, just needs to get back to doing what he was so good at last season.

10 men in the box. Take a gamble with no one back 😄

I thought we did that first half!

"Its only Armstrong, he'll miss!"

With reference to the spats in the home crowd.

I witnessed far too much of that during the Toxic Kean era of destruction.Long standing supporters, grown men who should know better, coming to blows in the BBE.The atmosphere became ugly,I had never witnessed that before amongst our fans.

Please, turn all your angst against those destroying our Club not against each other..it plays right into their filthy Hands, divide and conquer.

FECK VENKYS!.

Trondstadt looks a shadow of the player he was last season..  I love him, but for me, at present, the only thing keeping him in the starting line up is any sort of competition in centre mid. I'd drop him in a heart beat if we still had Travis. Miss the days of Flitcroft 😞

If we still had Travis I’d wager you wouldn’t need to think of dropping him…

He works hard, seems to have a bit of pace and whilst he needs to work on the crossing, yesterday he presented decent chances for Yuki with 2 or 3 excellent balls put in. Think there may be more to come from him and to my mind, both the wing backs look promising.

Alebiosu is very promising. Hes not perfect, technically he will do the odd loose touch, and sometimes you are just thinking run at your man a bit more and really believe, but hes become the most important attacking player in our team from right back and has been consistently very good.

De Neve, I dont share similar encouragement yet. I dont recall these excellent crosses.

Miller and Carter sounds like an interesting partnership. I fear it will be rare when we see it.

Miller looks like he's got a missteak in him.

Sometimes ypu need player to stick at their jobs because you know where they'll be all the time

We do.

This is exactly why so many of us were critical of the timing of the Hyam sale and not giving us time to bring anyone in. There seems to be a great reluctance too from Ismael to at least have one of the young centre halves on the bench as cover.

We have four senior players who can play there but two are injury prone and one has played more as a right back.

I would be recalling O'Riordan in January. If not we need another centre back signing.

Unfortunately, he will want more than our self imposed wage cap, and he will get more elsewhere, with ease

Toth deserved a new contract and wage rise. Get on with it Gestede

Or maybe given that he has played 3 games in a week he is just tired.

He is deffo interested and if you watched him post game his reaction to Gudjohnsen its shows he is interested

Its a great point but thought Hedges did very well yesterday there. Both playing well

Agree on O'Riordan. Feels strange that he's hardly had a look in at Rovers, but unless we're planning to splash some cash in January (doubtful) then recalling him in January is essential. Even then I'd be tempted to bring in a CB on loan as well if Ismael wants to persist with 3 CB's.

Seen the script with Toth before. They likely won't give him what he wants.

Tronstad is certainly not performing as he was last season. I suspect its due to a multitude of reasons...some of which may be personal to him and his family. We forget footballers are human beings sometimes. His performances last season give him enough credit in the bank for me, but its sad knowing that he's likely leaving at the end of the season and he probably already knows it. You can appear fine on the outside celebrating a win like he was yesterday, but who knows what's going through his head.

De Neve and Hedges are players that will never pull up any trees, but they're hard workers for sure. You do need players like that around the squad, but Rovers problem is they're reliant on them and there isn't enough technical quality to balance things out. Pleased to see De Neve has improved a touch though.

They will 100% have Toth bookmarked along with the new right back as the next 'developed' assets to sell.

They're all bookmarked as developed assets to sell - that was the entire point of the summer transfer window.
