Wheelton Blue Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Whatever signings are made, they need to add at least 10 more goals to the side over the rest of the season, either directly or assists. Failure to do this, and we're in the mire. Quote

If Rovers were as ready as they claimed, then they would know if the player wanted to join, and what the fee would be for him. If they have had a bid rejected, it shows they haven't really done any planning at all. Of course we are ready. We are putting bids in for players. The research has been done People slammed for us not getting bids in early in the window. We are yet we still complain. Quote

neophox Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Seems a bit odd not getting Leo Duru back from his loan in MLS with Alebiousu away. Quote

Duru will of course have been training That said, I don't think Rovers hold any option re Duru, San Diego had the option to extend his loan regardless of what Rovers wanted, and they also hold an option to make it permanent should they wish Edited 2 hours ago by KentExile 1 Quote

I just bid for Cleary, Barnsley rejected my offer too Its actually getting the deals done that matters If anyone is interested, my offer was £534,000.26, spread over 76 years, with a 2.5% sell on. Whilst my bid was rejected out of hand, I am the highest bidder thus far Edited 1 hour ago by KentExile 5 Quote

But there's at least as much chance it's cobblers, so hanging on his every word is ludicrous. Quote

Tomphil2 Posted 51 minutes ago Posted 51 minutes ago We had several bids in early but January is hard to do business in and we were knocked back by unrealistic prices or gazumped. We did all we could but it'll be an exiting summer instead. Pickering, Ribero, Toth and Tronstad turned down 12 month extensions because they are greedy and some wanted to go home. AJW Posted 36 minutes ago Posted 36 minutes ago Think we are more likely to sign players NOT wanted by their championship clubs Quote
Gamst Posted 36 minutes ago Posted 36 minutes ago Given how good Alebiosu has been I suspect they will be encouraged to spend any money on younger players with resale potential. The profit they get from Alebiosu is likely to offset any losses made by signing a few duds like De Neve and Tavares. Reyes Cleary would fit this model and it sounds like he has decent potential. I wonder if we will go back in the Bailey Cadamarteri at Sheffield Wednesday for similar reasons. I have no issues with signing promising youngsters, but I do worry that our current predicament is crying out for Championship experience and in terms of helping us avoid relegation I sense the money would be better spent on this. Of course ideally we would spend on both, but that's not going to happen. Quote
