I mean, I know it worked out for them in terms of the result, but Derby were probably the worst footballing side I've seen this season.

Their tactics seemed to be 'hoof it as long and high as possible, then chase the ball'.

But then, I suppose, it is Eustace, so I shouldn't be surprised.

Lol.

That'll be the team that's won 5 on the bounce you're on about.

Thought our long throw ins were especially ineffective today.

Didn't really make sense in doing them so much, with us having such a short forward line and Derby having such big defenders.

Agree, but equally cant really think of anything else we could have done much better either.

If we cant get in behind a team we really really struggle to fashion anything.

You could see Derby were completely unfussed about giving vast numbers of corners and throws as they were so in control of set pieces.

oh well back to being shite

if you spend at the level we do ,then you will get inconsistent performances

quite why a side finishing 7th last season, the hierarchy  see the need to break up the side and buy inferior players is a question they need to answer and a gold standard example of why we are going nowhere with the chicken molesters in charge

Football and results doesn't come first for the owners. They couldn't care less whether the team is top 6 or bottom 6.

Not very well worded, but it was more a criticism of his interview style.

It's typical manager-speak, but he is particularly bad for it - as was at Ewood.

He did a good job for us and I quite like him, but his interviews are like fingernails on a chalkboard.

Hate to break it to you, but the thing is that he let all the cliches out in the media interviews, and saves the real talk for the internal game plan and dressing room.

Val however is the champion of media honesty 😅

Spend the least money possible and finish 21st would be the ideal season for Pasha.

Dont suppose the owners are that bothered either way. They might care if we lose the £8m p.a. Championship TV money though.

Was the minutes silence messed up? I always thought in the past it started and ended with the last post but they did it from the refs whistle, when he whistled again the crowd roars as they do but then during that the last post started.

Well that was a horror show and, IMO, the resultant of Pasha and Gestede's moronic attempt at playing Football Manager.

The horror of starting with Miller, McLoughlin and Hedges as your 3 centre backs  says it all.

Pears nervous and unconvincing - just a calamity waiting to happen.

Our defence. Inevitable we would get ripped one and it could and should have been more than 2 for Derby.  Miller is poor, full stop.

Wing backs / midfield.  Alebiosu - has he run out of steam or has one eye on the AFCON.  TGH decent loan signing but a bit of a loose cannon.  Morishita just continuing to live up to his name and we chased him all summer!  Henriksson, yet another loose cannon but far less effective than TGH.

Strikers.  Gudjohnsen is a 'good time' player, lazy and ineffective.  Ohashi the pick of a poor bunch.

Our bench.  That tells you just how far we have fallen.

Sadly, we are still in a relegation fight and fear we will slip further down the table.

Injuries are no excuse, it's what you have a squad for.

As for our medical team, I think they are hopeless and need firing.  Wharton 'could be okay for today' but now ruled out for 3 months and sat in the stand wearing a medical walking boot and Toth 'out for 4 to 8 weeks' but now 3 months.

Think our club has been dumbed down from top to bottom in all areas and the results are painful to see.

Quite simple really they cashed in all the assets whilst they had chance and excuses to.

Also in the processes avoided having to hand out several pay rises.

Now they think they can repeat the process and grow a low cost side into one to sell again in 2 years.

That's it that is the entire plan here now and wasn't it so amazing that the issue that supposedly caused all this in India was suddenly resolved the min the last multi million quid outgoing transfer was sealed and the incoming window was shut.

Think it was messed-up.

The Last Post is usually played before the 1 or 2 minute silence.

The one  thing that worries me , I cannot see Norwich or Sheffield United getting relegated , so that leaves 2 out of Rovers, Oxford , Portsmouth or Swansea ..

I suspect Toth will be gone in January and possibly Cantwell !

Yes they'll care enough to sack Gestede and Ismael whilst you know who carries on running this charade.

Critcisising BigMac for not cheating and trying to score, buggar me.

<Flame On>

They were pulling the shirt off his back which is called a foul last time I checked. You shouldn't have to go down to get the decision but you really do. Thats NOT cheating.

In addition there were umpteen legs chopping at him IN THE BOX. We're in the 94 minute and LOSING and it's supposed to be a significant match in our history and against a manager and players who dumped us.  We were losing with seconds to go.

If I was playing I would go down every single time and then hand my boy scouts good conduct medal back after the match.

Cheating. Give me break. They'd already escaped a blatant hand ball in the box, not like they were a team of Sir Galahads.

Dreadful performance today and a perfect summary of the anniversary considering who we are owned by.

Bizarre line up by a poor manager, Hedges at centre back was a particular highlight. Miller's shit long throws continue to punctuate any potential momentum in the game even though they are shit, Henriksson is nowhere near good enough, De Neve cant cross, Gudjohnsen was invisible, and Gueye with a typical Gueye cameo, useless.

All against a manager who had organised a solid and superior team perfectly, and was unnecessarily given stick alongside ex players who also dont deserve stick while the real villains who couldnt be bothered attending didnt get any abuse, along with their dickhead representative.

It was also a team almost exclusively of Gestede signings from the summer and was massively short of quality. The centre back situation is one Ismael will include while whinging about injuries as an excuse but its a scenario we all saw coming.

The home form under Ismael is absolutely pathetic.
