Type of game Pears drops an absolute bollock, especially with a cobbled together defence in front of him.

Not sure where they're at injury wise themselves but can't be as dire as us so they'll definitely fancy it.

Could always end up being a drab post international break game though like they ofter are. 1-1, and I would take that.

Wouldn't take any notice of SpudBros, they are all Liverpool fans (genuinely not the usual piss taking).

They have just seen an opportunity at there local club and jumped on it, now pretending that they have always been North End fans and that Liverpool are just there "prem team".

They look like really decent blokes to be fair but I wouldn't take any notice of anything they have to say regarding football.

On the 1st November, Cantwell posted an Instagram/Facebook story of a photo of him walking on the beach with the caption "The next step is always the most important one". Sounds like he's planning something.

Sounds ominous dunnit?

No need to worry about what some daft potato pushers say.

They're obsessed, like so many of their fans.

They aren't even PNE fans either.....

I work with a number of PNE Fans and they are very confident even over confident tbh. Ive took plenty of banter of them about our league position and where they are.

We are more suited to playing away from home. So we will see tonight.

I would switch to back 4 given we only have 2 centre backs fit.

My team

                     Pears

Alebiosu Miller McLoughlin Pickering

            Tronstad Montgomery

Morishita.     Ohashi          Hedges

                    Gudjohnsen

They have every right to be very confident. Genuinely think it'll be a total walkover for them tonight, we'll barely lay a glove on them.

Remember, we won 3 on the bounce, so it's highly likely we'll not win again for at least 5 games.

I wouldnt agree there. Over confident always go one way generally

I worked in Preston for over a decade from 2001; never felt any rivalry at all, even when Jansen sealed promotion there it didn’t feel like getting one over on a rival. They were just another team.

This manufactured rivalry is just bizarre to me.

Anyway Friday night with a few beers watching the football, yet I’m not looking forward to it at all, the squad is looking seriously grim and feels like we are due for a bad Christmas period as always!

You predict we will win 90% of games though so at least you are learning about your over confidence

It's a good marketing gimmick for this game tbf to them. I'm sure they'll get rid of those squeaky chickens pretty quickly to 100 PNE fans who think they're funny.

They ought to sell them before a home game at Ewood they'd do a bomb.

I did think it might actually attract a good number of Rovers fans, so they can grab a squeaky chicken in protest of our clown ownership but either way, The Spud Bro's win.

Lancashire rivals but nowhere near the East Lancashire one.

My experiences going back to the early 90's to now are entirely different.

They do though seemed to have ramped it up a level in recent years especially their younger element. We've had yo yo Burnley though quite regularly but they haven't really had Blackpool so much.

So it's a natural substitute and although a lot of BBwD based fans look at Bolton probably as the next real rival these lot look at us.

It's a bit like the Wigan / Bolton thing really were over the last few years its become a big deal whereas before only two small groups of hools were bothered about each other.

Also with Knobbers after being in our shadow so long they now often get the upper hand so the Rovers chips on their shoulders that's been weighing them down for decades get thrown off now and again.

Another Venky induced gift that nobody ever asked for but iv'e been saying for 15 years they won't return us to where they found us they'll return us to what we were pre Mr Walker.

The way it is going we are going back to 1971 with no Ken Furphy !

I think this has got a Rovers win written all over it tonight. We've been decent on the road and have got results at Leicester and Bristol City when most expected us to get battered.

We were comfortable at Coventry for 60 odd minutes and were only undone by two long range goals. We have shown we can be organised and tough to break down away from home. I don't see why we can't be again tonight.

This lot are getting carried away and are being lulled by our League position and after hearing about a couple of injuries. You'd think Dobbin is Benzema listening to them. They have better players than us all over the park, apparently. We'll see about that.

Fancy us to do a job on them.

Blackpool's rivals 1-2 Rovers.

Absolutely.

Most incisive post on here for a long time!

1971 with an Owen Coyle minus the Burnley connection.

What could go wrong?

The Preston equivalent of our rubber snake brigade, who probably will be back out in force for Hyam next Saturday.

I just think Wharton is so important in that back line. We saw how when he was absent we didn't deal with Derby aerially. I dont know what Preston are like from set pieces, but I just can't see us winning.

I'm certainly going there less confident than we have done for the last few seasons.

I mean, they have a very strong case for waving snakes about, they're just waving them at the wrong people.
