Popular Post Herbie6590 Posted Sunday at 13:16 Popular Post Posted Sunday at 13:16 At this time of year it’s traditional & appropriate to reflect on what has been achieved over the last 12 months and say a massive “Thank You” to everyone who has helped us in so many ways. BRFCS has gone from strength to strength; we have secured a robust infrastructure thanks to lots of IT work that isn’t readily visible. It’s only when the site goes down that we tend to remember the efforts needed to keep it active..! Functionality has been improved, an enhanced Match Centre format, better voting capability for Player of the Match and a cleaner, simplified layout. The lifeblood of the site remains the forum, which has goes from strength to strength despite all-pervading social media alternatives. I often say that we are an electronic saloon bar that has regulars popping in & out at different frequencies. I also firmly believe that we provide a cathartic service for those wanting to vent..! Blood pressure medication online if you will…you’re welcome NHS..! We have launched an online store, we have commissioned a local artist to design for us, we have designed, sourced & sold retro shirts - all this using the knowledge, skills and time of a strong network of volunteers. @sasumner continues to edit and publish a quite superb fanzine. A fanzine which more than once has been awarded nominated. The name “4000 Holes” resonates in that community, not just with Beatles aficianados… We took that brand and used it for our podcast to leverage the name recognition with brilliant results. The podcast is part of the talkSPORT fan network and we are the go to correspondents whenever talkSPORT wants informed Rovers fan commentary. We are also in the contacts book of BBC Radio - with guest appearances by @rog of the rovers & @Herbie6590 on Lancashire, Stoke, Coventry & Leicester variants to name but a few. We have just partnered with Blackburn Foodbank for the season to help them raise awareness and funding to support the amazing work they do in these difficult times. Please help them with a donation if you are at all able. All in all, recognising that all of this has been done by a network of volunteers, it’s fair to say it’s a terrific achievement all round. Here come the plaudits…first of all to everyone who uses the site, if you didn’t visit, there really wouldn’t be any point to any of this… Thanks to everyone who buys & reads the “4000 Holes” fanzine. Thanks to everyone who listens to the podcasts - if you don’t, try one, you might just like it..! Thanks to everyone who bought something from our online shop - as well as an owning a unique item, all profits are reinvested into the site & keep all this ticking over. Special thanks to all of our subscribers - you provide the equivalent of our season ticket revenue. We can plan more securely on the certainty of that income stream. If you would like to join their ranks - please do, it helps us massively. The site runs thanks to the sterling efforts of our IT gurus @StubbsUK & @Roth The forum operates thanks to our terrific team of moderators (a thankless task if ever there was) under the auspices of @J*B - so 👏 👏👏 to @K-Hod @DE. (who also writes the excellent regular Championship summaries) @Silas @Tom @Madon @Mike E Big thanks to @rog of the rovers for his merchandise support, podcast hosting, fanzine & forum contributions. Podcast panel regulars @RoryRoversIreland Rich Sharpe, Hollie Thurstan, James Marsh, Michael Taylor, Ryan Hildred, Rob Heyn, Louis Gee (for the Classic Shirts episode especially) - thanks to you all. From all of us here at BRFCS Towers, we wish you & your loved ones a very Merry Christmas & let’s hope 2026 provides us with even more inspiration, ambition and dedication. #COYB 🎄🎅 27 Quote

arbitro Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago Merry Christmas to all the people behind the scenes and thanks for your sterling work. It's sometimes taken for granted that the board will always be here without the realisation that there is some heavy lifting going on in the background. 2 1 1 Quote
Andy Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago Merry Christmas guys and thanks for the work you do - I moderate on another site and know how thankless a task it is. Regularly listen to (and enjoy) the pod, some really good content out there for Rovers supporters. Have a good one. 1 1 Quote
Backroom DE. Posted 21 hours ago Backroom Posted 21 hours ago (edited) My contributions are nothing compared to the amount of work put into the website and the community by many others, but nonetheless I'm very proud to play some part of it. The tireless efforts to enhance and expand BRFCS, a lot of it unseen, are something special and I certainly don't take it for granted. If there's a better run traditional football forum and fan site on the internet I am yet to see it. Massive kudos to everyone involved. If those running things at Ewood had a tenth of the passion, commitment and love for Blackburn Rovers that the BRFCS community has, the club would be in a much better place. There may be differing opinions on here, but I have no doubt that all regular contributors here ultimately want nothing but the best for the club. Happy Christmas and New Year to all. Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted 21 hours ago Moderation Lead Posted 21 hours ago From a personal POV, it gives me great pride to be associated with the site and to contribute in even the smallest way to keep it going. This really is a very good community in my opinion. We're blessed to have quite so many good contributors who log on and post daily. 2 1 Quote
