We might have a chance here 😉

Sheffield Wednesday have their own injury crisis as their wounded squad prepares to host Blackburn Rovers.

Both teams will be without a flux of players with neither squad close to full health. Rovers have nine players who could miss Monday night's game.

The Owls are even more threadbare after being unable to add to their squad during the summer. Against Hull City, goalkeeper Ethan Horvath was the only senior player (pretty sure this should read "only senior player on the bench") with youngster Jarvis Thornton also thrown in for his full debut.

Max Lowe, George Brown, Nathan Chalobah and Ike Ugbo have all sustained hamstring problems, adding to the Owls boss' woes.

“I think Max (Lowe) will be out four to six weeks," Pedersen told The Star.

“Two days ago in training we had George Brown, also with a hamstring, and he will also be out for four, six or eight weeks now. I wait for the latest update, but it will also be a long one.

“It will be four to six weeks, I think, for Nathan (Chalobah). Ike (Ugbo) is injured too. He has a nerve in the back side around his hamstring, so he's also injured.

“I don't know how long it will take [for him to recover]. I have no update for this one.”

Charlie McNeil is also absent with a rib injury sustained against Ipswich Town which left him hospitalised. He hasn't trained since.

Wednesday did collect their first point in more than two months against Hull, though they were pegged back twice.

“I think it was a deserved point today,” Pedersen reflected.

“Our boys played a really, really good game - especially in the first 30 minutes, we were very strong.

“The second half was not as dominant as the first, but you can see that all the players are doing everything that they can to keep up the discipline and the belief.

"They’re working so hard, and how the senior players integrated the young players today - we had six senior players plus our second goalkeeper, and the rest were U21 players - and big respect to the young guys, but also the seniors for how they integrated them.

“We’re disappointed when we’re not winning, but it was nice to get a point again."

Looked in vain for Barry Bannon to be listed among the wounded.

Hull gifted the  two Wednesday goals and received a couple of gifts in return. Well it is Christmas...

Someone, somewhere, with authority at Rovers has decided to take them off sale on the Rovers website.

If the non-season ticket holders don’t spend money going to Sheffield, they might be more likely to buy £36 tickets for the Wrexham game. 🤷‍♂️🤔

"We've done all we can" claxon again.

Amazing how these issues never seem to plague all the other clubs around the country, including those that easily sell out their allocations, yet poor old Rovers are always the ones who suffer from these things.

Almost as though there's a common theme here of a tinpot corner shop operation always looking to do the bare minimum

"Processing deadlines" 🤣

Could the club elaborate on which deadline they are referring too - pretty sure it is nothing on SWFCs end, the credit card companies and online platforms tend to function so just what has to be processed and by whom?

Just seen the notice from the club that they're going to work with Sheffield Wednesday to get tickets back on sale. Why didn't they work with Sheffield Wednesday from the start to ensure availability of tickets for a match during the busiest week in the entire football calendar.

Why are we less organised and well run than our opponents who are in f***ing administration?

To the those talking about annual leave for club staff. Give it a rest. If you go to work in an industry like professional football, it's a given that the Xmas/NY week is the busiest of the year - every club playing Boxing Day, NYD and usually inbetween, you're going to accept that you'll probably be working while others are off. It's only like working in hospitality, you're most busy when most other people are off.

On the game itself, it's a must win, nothing less will do, otherwise the point gained and hard work at Middlesbrough counts for far less.

anyone working over christmas gets extra pay and/or  days off in liue,it seems blackburn rovers are the exeption to the rule, the only football organisation that shuts down during it`s busiest period🤡,i wonder if the next step is to irritate fans even more by  pausing ticket sales to home games, nothing would surprise me with this lot, they treat their customers with absolute contempt, bring on the boycott!!!!

They are even pathetic at bull shitting these days, do they not realise people have been phoning up Sheff Weds about this.

I went online on CHRISTMAS DAY and bought some concert tickets for someone as a present.

They were paid for and downloaded within 5 mins but in the Blackburn area that obviously isn't possible.

That micro climate gremlin again, its left the drains alone now there is no rain and got itself inside the ticketing system.

Funny how it probably left the home match tickets alone though.

I suspect the reason for the social media post is that the Sheff Weds have started to ask questions - such as "what the fuck are you people doing over there?"

Wonder who they managed to get in touch with...

More poorly run than a club in administration. That is some achievement

Further demonstration that we would be better off with the Venksters and their lackeys gone.

We are run just above the admin line anyway but those doing it would struggle to run a market stall.

More heads of heads than ten schools but not one is accountable for anything.

Check of our local clubs playing away on 29th.

Wigan away at Burton - on sale online now and in person in ticket office on Monday morning.

Fleetwood away at Salford - on sale online now and ticket office open Saturday 27th

Oldham away at Walsall - Was on sale until 12pm on Saturday 27th but sold out.

Morecambe away at Carlisle (30th). Club shop open all day 29th.

👆

A reminder of the local clubs who had two away games over Christmas and don’t have, err, processing deadlines.

But fair play if someone internally has actually pushed to get us to do this.

Even when they move to try and correct a colossal cock up which should never have been made in the first place, they manage to further insult everyone's intelligence.

Processing deadlines.

Nothing to do with Wednesday getting in touch and asking them why the fuck tickets weren't on sale I dont suppose.

Just fuck off the lot of them.

And people will still ask. Why should we boycott ?

Fans in wanting to go to a game over Christmas shocker.

No interest, at all, in offering a service to supporters.

Yep.

When the owners pay the bills every year to just about keep the lights on, the fans are nothing more than a distraction, a boil on the arse of the club, the owners don't need us, simple as that.

That’s an insult to corner shops
