Seeing we Ohashi as only recognised striker wonder if we have a slight change of system and play a midfield diamond. Something like...

                          Pears

         Miller.        McLoughlin.         Pratt

                           Tronstad

Litherland.     TGH.        Baradji.      Hedges

                            Cantwell

                              Ohashi

I’m toying with trying Hedges up front instead of Henriksson. He can’t possibly be worse. Pickering can play instead in Hedges old position.

Or Pickering up front? It worked last time.

Our goal could be a Litherland shot deflecting past the keeper off Henrikson's backside. Henrikson to score.

But they'll get 3

Is O'Riordan back available for tomorrow?

Not seen anything mentioned by Rovers at all. You would think he would be recalled immediately to help bulk the squad out slightly.

I would imagine so

Rovers probably cannot/will not announce it until its official

Why not play Litherland further up field, he almost scored to in the 1st 20 minutes against Millwall, and Doherty a young striker we signed. If we're doing nothing up front, it puts our defence under a lot more pressure.

Doherty was on the bench against Sheff Wed not used. Could he do worse than Wednesday nights effort.

Litherland is a centre back already playing out of position, and if you did move him, who is playing wing back in his place?

Doherty is a winger, not a striker

Neither are the answer to our goalscoring woes.  I can only assume that the nights festivities have clouded your judgement.  Hope you had a good one, Happy new year 🙂

I cannot help but get the horrible feeling this will be a galling afternoon. I just cannot see how we score, I think our defence has been pretty decent lately so could be due a step down in performance.

I am also not in the mood to watch Wrexham fans have a party at our home, but have a bad feeling I will be.

Its a patched up Rovers side that's for surs....all washed down in a Nob End kit.

New Year, lots start of 2026 with a win.

COYB 🔵 ️

2 nil Rovers. Cantwell will be crucial in this game.

Bet on aswell. Rovers win, under 2.5 goals and Cantwell to score anytime.

I can't see a change in formation after Ismael has banged on about changing to a back 3 so much over the last few weeks.

Our attack is poor though and it's getting difficult to even predict we might score a goal at the moment.

---------------Pears

------Miller---- McLoughlin----Pratt

Litherland-----------‐---------------Hedges

-------------Tronstad---Baradji

-----------------Cantwell

------------Ohashi-------Henriksson

0-2 defeat.

It's not that long ago we should have beat them, couple of key differences though...we had Gudjohnsen, Alebiosu and Morishita in the team that day.

Worth noting their away form isn't great though, last away win way back in September.

If I was a betting man, which I am, I'd be backing the draw. They've drawn 5 of their last 6 away from home. We've drawn 2 of the last 3 at home, 5 out the last 7 home and away. 2 out the past 3 H2H also draws.

Just hope it's not another 0-0 draw though, a goal would be nice. I think we'll get one too, Hedges is due a goal.

1-1.

Another draw isn't really much use in the grand scheme of things mind. On a rather negative note I remember us drawing too many the last time we went down to league one, 4 in a row in one spell. It's all a bit too familiar folks.....erm on that note - Happy New Year fellow blues.

Why a tough watch?

Because losing him to a tinpot club and keeping out our attackers when he should never have been sold

Very exposed. The only game kicking off before 3pm anywhere. Lets see if Rovers TV are allowed to show it.

Wrexham will force a higher energy performance from us than we put on at Hillsborough- either that or we get utterly humiliated.
