The only people to be lauded IF we manage to stay up are JDT for the points accrued at the start of the season and of course Sami for his goals. Without either, we would already be down by now.6 points

Because there isn't one. It is bullshit fed to the fans to pretend that the January fiasco was caused by factors out of the owners/boards control and by individuals conveniently going rogue. They know people are on to them and know that the only alternative to admitting the owners and their underling are to blame is to make up this rubbish with promises of a brighter future. Meanwhile the Adam Wharton money disappears and no money gets spent. Excuse after excuse.5 points

So many problems. You're just accepting the party line and that Silvester is to blame for this. I ask why a bloke who has worked as a Secretary for many many years and overseen countless transfers many more complex than a 6 month loan deal would suddenly forget how to do his job. He didn't forget how to complete the sale of Adam Wharton, or any other deal that brought cash in to the club. He didn't forget how to complete naff loans and cheap deals that have served the club little purpose. Only the big juicy deal that was costing cash and big wages. Interesting. Why do you believe Silvester is to blame and who are you listening to for your information? My workplace requires people to be qualified to do the role, is she? Club secretary is a very important position, these days you even get the blame when other people make mistakes 🙂 One of the reasons the club is in this state is because we take the easy and cheap route and promote inexperience from within rather than heading out into the big wide world and finding established proven operators.4 points

Swag knows full well, but as PNE brought in slightly less in gate receipts than us last season, that’s that. Short term bottom line over the long term re-building and engaging of the fanbase, just so they can show the owners that they’ve hit some arbitrary revenue target, oh and bonuses all round - and why would he care about the long term health of the fanbase when he won’t be here to see it come to fruition. A season to season existence, zero long term planning or strategy.4 points

So behind the goal c£100 cheaper than here, the Tom Finney c£150+ cheaper than the Jack Walker. Obviously something we couldn’t possibly replicate here, though a similarly supported club with no parachutes in the same area.4 points

No chance I’ll be renewing my season ticket in the summer. Despite disagreeing with the pricing I renewed last season and have attended the lowest amount of games this season. The shenanigans during the January transfer window was the last straw and I won’t be back until Venkys and Waggott are gone! As others have stated in this thread, depending on the promotions/relegations we could have the lowest attendances in the league next season. Grim.4 points

At the current prices, we probably make around £3m from selling ~7k season tickets. Apparently we, and other Clubs will receive around £3m from this new TV deal, which itself is set to lower gates across the board. Now is the time to for Swag to take the gamble. He's got his usual £3m there before even selling a single ST. If he doesn't drop the prices, Ewood will be a graveyard next season. The prices Chaddy has mentioned sound about right. It's highly unlikely with Waggott at the wheel, but they should be priced like the below; Ultimately there are 2 options for Waggott; - Use some of the £3m (from the TV deal) to subsidise ST prices like the above. - Throw the £3m into the black hole, and keep ST prices as they are (or raise them) to continue rinsing the gradually decreasing 7k loyal fans. Hmmm, wonder what he'll choose...4 points

It won't affect the summer transfer budget because we already know it is zero. The court case is not until August so the summer budget will remain at zero.4 points

Our fabulous owners, who get an unfair bad press, just because of making illegal payments and now have to go to court for permission to fulfill their obligations. Humble people who have just been badly advised. My heart bleeds.4 points

I think a large percentage of the posters on here and the wider Rovers supporters, know only too well that it was pulled, due to the cost. The line it was an admin error, especially after last years fiasco, has made us an even bigger laughing stock, if that was possible.3 points

Silvester was retiring anyway wasn't he? The "investigation" will now be swept under the carpet. IS will probably get a nice sweetener into his pension for taking the blame on the transfer fiasco. We all know full well that the application was 'saved' and not 'submitted' because venkys didn't allow it.3 points

I've said we will stay up by the skin of our teeth ever since we got dragged into this mess, and that's just because other sides will do our job for us. Leicester 2 Rovers 0 Sunderland 0 Sheff Wed 2 Plymouth 0 Hull 2 Birmingham 1 Norwich 1 Stay up by 2 points, and a big thank you owed to our previous manager for working miracles with this bunch until December.3 points

Agreed. Gallagher hasn't scored in his last 13 starts nor has he remotely looked like doing so. Therefore in the unlikely event that Telalovic had been afforded such a generous amount of game time over the same period he couldn't possibly have done any worse!3 points

To my mind, Adam Wharton is blossoming because, for the first time in his life, he’s playing with lads who are as good in their positions as he is in his. I’m not convinced he would have developed any further at all had he stayed with us, especially after JDT left. No matter how many sublime passes you play to Gallagher, he isn’t going to control any of them, and Eustace binning passing out from the back would have greatly reduced the number of touches he got in a game. If there was going to be an auction for him, I can’t see why it didn’t happen in January. He isn’t typical of the kind of player our academy produces, nor should he be as players of his ilk will never stay long enough in the first team to make any meaningful difference. I’m wondering how good Harry Leonard is given he’ll be playing without Adam’s passes for the first time in his life.3 points

I love how Tomasson has started to get some criticism now he is no longer our manager. Same happened with Mowbray and now Eustace can do no wrong.3 points

It will take more than cheap tickets to entice people back. There also has to be something to believe in, some ambition, someting to hope for. We have none of this with this lot in charge.3 points

I know you are ultra gullible and believe every word that comes out of people like Broughton and Waggot. But believe it or not sometimes people say things which aren't true to put out an appearance. Nowhere has Broughton or Waggot said "We had to sell Adam Wharton earlier than we liked because we have cash flow problems due to the Indian court case", but we clearly know this is true. Therefore, what Broughton should have said on TK was "We rejected some bids to try and get the price up, but ultimately £2.5million was as much as we could get. We could have a possible cash flow issue coming up which makes us a more willing selling club that we would like." Here's Rich Sharpe, back in July in the LT, saying "It is understood that Rovers would want between £3m and £4m were they to allow Kaminski, who has two years left to run on his contract, leave this summer." Another article online , quoting Nixon as its source, saying we would want up to £5 million. (Also frustratingly JDT saying he expects nobody to leave and he wants quality coming into the squad ). If Luton would have stopped at £2million we would have played hardball for a few days and then taken it. Szmodics will leave this summer for whatever the highest bid we can get will be. It will have nothing to do with a 'valuation'.2 points

Different countries moved different players to originally make the back 4 from the old W-M, England moved 5 and 6 backwards and split 2 and 3 to be the full backs. In Europe they still split 2 and 3 but moved 4 and 5 back instead. The south american countries do it differently as well for what its worth but we've had an influx of european coaches so the european way has caught on2 points

This is where the fans have to vote with their feet. I implore anyone considering renewing, if the prices are not reduced by at least 20% need to lobby Waggott instead of blindly renewing. If enough simply say, my maximum price is £x so I will not renew at your price, he will have to do something about it. Everyone needs to stick together for the longer term good of the club and not the shot term good of this clown.2 points

End of the day the FF was set up in a simpler time, for a completely different football club, it was for incremental, adjacent type issues - catering, travel etc. It was not set up to take the club to task over the existential place BRFC now finds itself - that is what the bi-annual Supporter Consultation was for, until COVID was used as a neat way of quietly dropping it. If anything does need adding to the FF’s next agenda - it is to ask when the consultations are being brought back, as per EFL mandated requirements https://www.efl.com/supporters/fan-consultation/#2 points

Chaddy,chaddy,chaddy!....when will you learn with these shysters in charge at Ewood?2 points

I think Wednesday get a result at Sunderland and Birmingham will beat a half hearted Norwich. I expect Birmingham to go ahead and hold on. So it will come down to Plymouth not beating Hull....2 points
-
The reason it won't affect the transfer window, is that it will be sales only. We were told that the McGuire deal was down to an error and now it is being investigated internally, so can't be discussed. I tend to read between the lines with things coming out of Ewood and think most of the time, it is pretty much nonsense and what they think the fans want to hear.2 points

Ayari didn't come as a number ten day after he signed he said he was a number 6 or 8 and spoke with the coach about playing in that position. He didn't play 10 for Coventry either2 points

The only plausible answer is. It can't affect our business if we don't plan to do any in the first place. Otherwise the words are lies to keep the peasants happy.2 points
-
It affected the January window, the court case still hasn't been heard but it won't affect the summer window. Something doesn't seem to ring true, surely you must see that.2 points
-
Sounds great, except the Wharton money will have been spent on the utility bills and HMRC by the time we get post Aug 20th. Raya cash will come in after the window shuts. Szmodics cash will need to be banked in case Aug 20 goes tits up and we need electricity for the new season. There is no way they have funds to be cutting income. We are on our knees.2 points

I’ve defended Gally in the past but as the seasons have gone by he’s just got worse and worse. He’s supposed to be our No1 striker and when did he last look like scoring a goal ?2 points

I'm a big JDT fan, but I haven't seen anybody defend his record for the final 15 or so games. He'd clearly given up and wanted out - and this came across loud and clear. The fact that those final 15 games, as horrible as they were, equal's JE's new manager bounce (his first 15 games) is beyond worrying.2 points

No with Kaminski we got to the figure we thought Luton would pay and then sold. He was worth far more than £2.5 mill.2 points

What an absolute throbber. Doing the motion of slitting someone’s throat, when I bet he couldn’t even knock out a wank.2 points

Removing the ‘if we win’ permutations leaves 2 out of 54 where we go down. Removing the ‘if we draw’ ones as well still leaves 25 out of 27 where we stay up. Whilst, as you say, some are more likely than others - the odds are still massively in our favour. That is until you introduce the ‘Venky factor’ 😬😬1 point

I still expect us to be relegated on goal difference and by a solitary goal at that1 point
-
That is his style and mentality. He's been here for half a season and hasn't even attempted to win a single game.1 point

We will lose, probably by a margin of at least 3 goals. We will finish in 20th position due to our being surrounded by crap which is also what we are. Eustace will be lauded for saving us, even by some on here. I will spend the summer watching cricket.1 point
-
Useless has not attempted to win a single game yet. That is an absolute disgrace. I wasn't expecting much but that is unacceptable. If we go down it is entirely of our making.1 point
-
Deliberate relegation is perhaps a bit strong but managed decline is absolutely correct. Next season, should we survive, it'll be more cost cutting, lowering of the wage bill, player sales and no investment. Relegation is technically Deliberate, as its inevitable due to the way the club run/starved of funds.1 point

Got out of wrong side of bed wtf chaddy???? No i ain't..... just sick of this prick manager . Worse than Jim Iley . Leaving 5 defenders on when losing last week , 5 defenders when we WOULD be safe , leaving a striker on the bench , 7 points clear when he took over , 13 points above weds, smiling in a presser after such a huge loss, no wins at home ( bollox he won at home) , happy clappers clapping piss poor shite.. No I didn't get outta fucking bed the wrong way , I'm sick of this dumbing down mediocre bollox .1 point
