Baz Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Fantastic result and great credit to the players today - the fact so many are kids is very encouraging for the future. It'll all mean nothing if we dont follow up with a result against Stoke though.

yeti-dog Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Fantastic performance and real guts shown by the youngsters. 4 points from Pool and Manure away makes the losses to WBA & Bolton at home even harder to stomach..we could have been out of the drop zone by now! Having said that it should send us into the stoke game full of confidence.
Rovers_786 Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 great win credit to kean but i still want him out 2 points now from safety and kean do the right thing and give up so this club can be saved.
RoyRover Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Great result today. Delighted. Kean will be dining out on this one for years to come as result. Ah well, couldn't care less at the moment.
CWD65 Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Incredible away results this week who would have given us 4 points out of 6 at Anfield and OT.... Makes you wonder whether the protests are having a negative affect on home performances?
BuckyRover Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 We have to win two games in a row. Starting Monday
Billinge End Blue Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 <Makes you wonder whether the protests are having a negative affect on home performances?> or whether the home protests at Ewood are having a positive effect on subsequent away performances? Good win today but never forget....Venkys out/Kean out!
walk down bolton road Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Massive credit to the young lads they were tremendous. Petrovic and Nzonzi also had very good games and Yak worked his socks off. If only we could add a couple of decent players to the squad,ah well . Best i have felt about the club in months.
USABlue Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Great result pleased for the lads still some scary defending too much backing off. I for one will not be too upset if Pedersen never pulls on a shirt for us again. Also again red does not clash with Blue or White, why the away strip.
neophox Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Amazing win! Well done all the lads! This gives confidence! Petrovic and yakubu was immense and cred to hanley! Happy New year!
G Somerset Rover Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Blimey! I did not see that coming. Hanley, Henley and the Yak were excellent. The rest were superb too. Credit where it's due, and If you hadn't have known better you would have thought this was a Hughes performance today (minus Kean's subs which were baffling). We HAVE to beat Stoke at home next. No draw, we need a win. And then you just never know.

If only we could add a couple of decent players to the squad,ah well . Best i have felt about the club in months. I thought Petrovic was a rollercoaster today, at times he looked a good player, then he'd give the ball away and put us on the backfoot. The pair of them (N'Zonzi) offered little protection for our back four, was frustrating to watch.
sijoco Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Incredible away results this week who would have given us 4 points out of 6 at Anfield and OT.... Makes you wonder whether the protests are having a negative affect on home performances? 1st away win in god knows how long so your theory doesn't really add up Great performance today - best game in a blue and white shirt for Henley, Hanley and Petrovic. A well deserved win. Happy birthday Fergie
alexanders Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 What a way to end 2011. Beating United at the OT! Havent done that since 2005 if im correct. So proud of the WHOLE team today. Yakubu has to be the buy of the season. We had young Henley and Morris on the left side who did very good against Valencia and Rafael. Hope this is a turning corner. Onwards and upwards. Pop the Champagne! Happy new year all fellow Rovers. Lets enjoy this win, because it is HUGE!
pick32 Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Great result and performance today was need, especially as Bolton and wigan both winning.
Uxbridge rover Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 I thought Morris was fearless today and looked good going forward. Well done the Team the supporters and the staff of Blackburn Rovers. Happy New year to all
Tim Southampton Rover Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 I knew we'd beat them. Easy 3pts.
Exiled in Toronto Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Have United ever lost at home to the bottom team in the Premiership?? I doubt it.
rovers11 Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 well done to the young lads. They were fantastic. More fight and passion in their little finger than most of the senior players have in their whole body. Just shows how important it is to have players in the team who actually care about the club. btw, who is this grant hanley?! Looks a good player
den Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Well I didn't see that one coming. Well done to everyone, an excellent performance. Weaker than usual United line up, but that doesn't matter. They should still have had enough to beat us at OT. Apart from the obvious - Yakubu - the one thing that did impress me was the composure of the team. We didn't always have an outlet, but rather than just lump it forward as in previous games, we actually kept calm and were always confident enough to try to retain posession. 10/10
Stevo Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 I think people have said it all - but amazing effort and the whole staff deserves credit today, including Kean. As a side note, I put £2 on Yak to get 2 or more goals at 55/1 so I am extremely happy today!!!
Ricky Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Congratulations Steve Kean. I would have been blaming you if we'd lost so I have to give you the credit for a win.
davulsukur Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Amazing result. No idea why we can't beat WBA or Bolton at home but we can get 4 points at Anfield and OT. That result will probably keep Kean in the hotseat for the rest of the season. All players were quality, apart Pedersen who I thought was fairly awful.
Miker Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Hahaha one of my United friends just complained to me that they had players out. I just laughed.
