adsfortheblues Posted July 7, 2012 Posted July 7, 2012 Ollson been produced through our academy, is a regular for one of the top 16 international sides in Europe, has made a fair number of premiership appearences, is still relatively young and has a decent amount of potential (on the left wing). Therefore all this in my opinion, means, we should be looking for AT LEAST 6 million pounds.

pick32 Posted July 7, 2012 Posted July 7, 2012 He didn't come through the academy we signed him and put him in the reserves for a season.
The Rover of Finland Posted July 7, 2012 Posted July 7, 2012 Potential buyers don´t care which route did he become. As a championship club we won´t get maximum prices from sold players. Rovers can delay Olsson´s exit but he will leave. Finding replacer is much easier in July than on last hours of the window. Rovers will get £2,5M-£4M.
Uddersfelt Blue Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 Twitter reporting he's signed for Stoke. Can't we just send them his brother?
Waggy76 Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 I'd be dissapointed if we only got £3m for the lad I can understand where you are coming from and we would be better off keeping him .. But if we were buying him , £3 mill would be the limit , I suspect ..he is certainly no Graeme Le Saux !
adsfortheblues Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 He didn't come through the academy we signed him and put him in the reserves for a season. Between 2006-2007 ollson played for the Youth team, therefore, in my opinion, I'd still class that as a product of the academy. I suppose though, does it really make a difference that the fella is leaving? Kean won't play him left midfield, his best position, and he is crap at left back, therefore it may prompt us to buy a proper left back or maybe give Henley a crack.
AJW Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 £3m does seem low for a 24 year old international player, who can fill 2 positions , however that's probably because no-one can decide what his best position actually is
Damien Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 I think olsson is a player we should be trying to keep! He WILL get better if he stays in one position! I honestly think a year in the championship will bring on a lot of our players who aren't quite there yet!
Stuart Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 I think olsson is a player we should be trying to keep! He WILL get better if he stays in one position! I honestly think a year in the championship will bring on a lot of our players who aren't quite there yet! Yeah... I'm guessing he doesn't really want to stay all that much.
Drover Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 Martin olsson just tweeted: Back in the uk #blackburn Maybe this ties in with the tweet from kamy earlier about an agent at ewood. Looks like hes off
G Somerset Rover Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 Doubt he would have hashtagged us if it was a blatant 'I'm back come and get me' ploy. Wait and see what happens on this one.

Ricky Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 that's possibly the worst written article I've ever read. Guessing there's a 'not' missing in the second paragraph. and as for the last para we're selling him for 5 and 8m?? eh?
Beta Ray Bill Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 that's possibly the worst written article I've ever read. Guessing there's a 'not' missing in the second paragraph. and as for the last para we're selling him for 5 and 8m?? eh? It's clearly just a strange way of saying the price is £8,000,005. A bit like saying "4 and 20 blackbirds baked in a pie" instead of 24.
HemelRover Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 The author is Jack Failsworth. Suitable surname for the article I think.
1864roverite Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 Someone wo again thinks he is better than he is. Sweden ar enot the world champions and he is never going to get a move to a top 5 club in this country, Spain or Germany. When a club offers the going rate then accept it otherwise knuckle down and get on with it.
Hughesy Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 Out injured for the next 3-4 weeks, can see him struggling for a move in this window as not many will gamble on his fitness, especially not at £5m+
Damien Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 Is this a real injury though? Forgive me but many players have left rovers lately and been injured at the time!
Damien Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 So are we thinking he wouldn't be able to pass a medical at another club? Could be good news if so... He'll have until Christmas at rovers and may decide to stay in the end! Maybe
davulsukur Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 Pretty sure injured players have passed medicals before. injured for 3-4 weeks wont put anyone off buying him.
