Just the general information. In the past it has contained a layout of where the coaches will drop off and pick up etc. You should get your coach ticket with your match ticket as I did yesterday.

Ah, that makes sense. Not grabbed my coach ticket yet so was just wondering - thanks for the response.

Any news on how these are selling anyone?

I'm sure that the police would allow a pick-up point nearer Burnley if someone could recommend a suitable site.

Rovers fans can and do travel independently on organised coaches. All ours set off from Blackburn or Darwen so meet at Ewood for the police escort. If someone wants to organise a coach from Lancaster or Rossendale or wherever the police will make arrangements.

Rovers fans were able and have bought hospitality at Turf Moor. Not many because facilities are very limited there and it's sold out but there are some.

There are plenty of suitable sites in and around Burnley that many people, myself included, would prefer to gather at to reduce/minimise the amount of time spent on the bus.

If Rovers fans can and do travel on independently organised coaches then why have Rovers specifically made this statement:

Anyone who successfully purchases a ticket for this game MUST travel to the game via the Blackburn Rovers Away Travel.
You will not be permitted to travel to this game via any other method of transport. Coaches will depart for the Darwen End Ewood Park or St Christophers School, Queens Road West Accrington. Please state which departure point you wish to travel from when purchasing your ticket.
That doesn't read to me as though independently organised travel is permitted. Perhaps I'm misinterpreting the statement, but to me ' the Blackburn Rovers Away Travel' refers specifically to the official club organised travel and is intended to ensure people do not organise their own coaches.
Either way, the fact remains that all coaches and all ticket holders have to convene at either Ewood Park or St Christophers. The club statement is very clear about that. If you are correct then why hasn't the club said that unofficial coaches need to let the police know what they are doing?
Are you suggesting that I could organise a bus for me and a group of 25 other supporters that could set off from Ossy, stop at a pub on the outskirts of Burnley for food/drink, and drive to Turf Moor 30 minutes before kick off, and the police would arrange an escort? Because I don't think I'd be allowed, yet my understanding is that Burnley fans could do that if they so wished.
If Rovers fans were able to purchase hospitality at Turf Moor then why wasn't this advertised?
Do those Rovers fans fortunate enough to buy hospitality also have to travel by compulsory £8 bus and stand on a car park in their suits in the rain/cold for 20 minutes waiting to board a double decker bus? Or are they exempt from the rules and are permitted to travel on their own? If they are exempt then why when these measures are supposedly in place to ensure our safety?

I am sure the message on Rovers' website is for the vast majority of fans who either use the club's away travel, make their own way or don't usually go. There are a few who organise regular away travel who will be doing the same for this game with police approval. Ewood Blues are definitely one. The Action Groip could be another.

These are people who organise trips themselves on a regular basis and are recognised as such by the club. There is nothing stopping other fans doing the same although it's probably too late now for the Burnley game.

Re corporate hospitality I have no idea whether it's been advertised and if so who by and where. It has clearly not been beyond the whit of Preston Blue and several others to get places. Maybe Rovers advertise it to their corporate customers - that wouldn't be unreasonable.

At the end of the day it will always be a better experience for Burnley fans at Ewood than for us at Turf Moor because we have a better stadium with better facilities.

Anybody know how ticket sales are progressing and what the likelihood of tickets still being available after the 24th ?

The official Twitter account said just over half sold, should JUST be available for stage 3 but will be a mad scrum

No matter what the view, the measures being enforced are draconian and uncalled for.

There are no other clubs, much bigger fan base/support that have derby matches and where fans can make their own way to and from the game. Why there is this inane façade for the game is beyond me. It doesn't stop sporadic fighting, it didn't stop the cherry tree mini riot and it wont stop any fan baiting inside the ground. Its operation overkill IMO and its unnecessary.

Exactly when is the last time there was any serious violence for this fixture? 1983? Talking about the stadium and spontaneous violence (not the ones who agree to meet up elsewhere) and we know Rovers fans aren't the violent type. All its doing is costing the police more money for a ridiculous operation. I do believe Sunderland and Newcastle have had the same travel conditions imposed on them.

Even Steve Kean didn't get assaulted and he didn't think he would have been either. As if one bodyguard could have defended him all about making himself "sympathetic" to ignorant fans and media.

Its more likely the most unpleasant stuff will be online. Like this for instance...

Surprised nobody called for this clown to be banned from Ewood was it mentioned on here? Especially if disabled supporters (from both sides) complained though I don't know whether they did.

Can we pull of a surprise here,is it possible?.They are looking odds on to achieve what we should have done...bounce right back up first time.

Many Burnley fans at work surprised that they sit top,one thing they can boast of is consistency.

Hate to say this but they look like leaving Rovers behind......

If you're in Edinburgh there will be a few of us watching the game in the Cask & Barrell at Newington. First B@@@ards game I've missed since 79.

Ok McLarky. Don't fancy sitting in the house to watch this one. If I can get a hall pass from the misses I might just consider a trip to 'Burgh

The 2005 cup replay let the Dingles make their own way to Ewood, 7000 tickets.

As far as I was aware, no trouble.

2009 onwards, back to being a bubble match. Did any Fans Forum-ers ever get a reason as to why?

I can't see the police anouncing that they want a bubble match because they love the overtime staring at buses.

And they had to sit/stand and watch us score a last minute winner at their end of the stadium as well, so you would think if ever there was going to be a serious kick-off, it would have been that night!

Making my way back from Cardiff for this one. Not overly enthusiastic, but hoping our position as underdogs can work to our advantage.

We played well at Boro and pretty decent at Derby, so hoping we won't suddenly capitulate.
