The journo is saying the intentions of some owners is to buy clubs in areas of high housing density, run the club down relegating them through the leagues and reducing the fan base then sell the ground and facilities for massive profit.

Is Ewood definitely protected?

Not from floods!

I fee for Wheelock, yes he's a journo but he's paid by the local paper if he went rogue with it he would likely be out of a job

Agree with this... Im sure Wheelock has a family, and he will need to ensure that his job is safe as well. I have no issues with Wheelock to be honest. Guy sent me a digital copy via email on the season preview, so i dont have anything bad to say.

However, at some point, the Local paper will have to be a bit more creative as what TalkSport did. Dont go full on rogue, just be subtle and clever about it

Can anyone post Allardyces quotes from his book about being asked to go to London to meet Anderson and then presented with a list of players?

Its in his book, which I don't have :tu:

Gonna struggle with that unless someone can post pictures of his book!

Please Philip, can you call in to talk sport. It's no secret that we've clashed before but you speak extremely well in public and would get the points across. Same for Kamy. Get on the phone guys.

Agreed - not sure where you are in the world Philip, but we'll cover your phone costs.

I'm planning on taking a similar tact to Preston Blue - attack the owners based on the "alleged" evidence out in the open. The mandate, Kean's contract with financial incentives that reward poor performance etc. Keep it clean, keep it legal and keep it cordial. This is not an opportunity for us to get into oral fist fight, it is a chance to put up the facts to a national audience.

You have not heard me yet Ricky. Marks out of 10 appreciated unless I make a mess of it ;-)

The Asset of Community Value gives the opportunity for the Rovers Trust, or others, to make an offer. After an offer for sale it is a legal requirement for the six month period to be available to prepare and make the offer.

There is no obligation for the seller to protect the bid.

From what I recall an ACV brings pressure on the LA to consider any planning applications for change of use in the light of the ACV. Clearly housing is a change of use and so permission might not be granted on this basis.

This is my understanding and not a legal opinion. As far as I know this has not been tested in the courts.

I am not disputing this but there are other locks in place.

I've spoke to press RE Rovers before. They're very good at sending you down different paths. If I had my time again i'd write a list of key points and keep it in front of me. Just a thought.

Alternatively bring in ABBEY on a conference call.

Many thanks but I am typing this in a board meeting....

Haven't said much for the last hour but I doubt I could explain suddenly talking about Kean and Rovers :rover:

I think this time around we have to be savvy as a supporter base, last time it became too personal against Steve Kean (rightly), which gave certain corners of the media to dismiss us as ungrateful fans. This time we have to be clear that this isn't about individuals but organisational and institutional financial mismanagement.

Please could someone direct me to Glen's post (I think it was Glen) where he describes Rovers ringing him up asking if he has been sacked and where he says he had been targeted at all matches? Also his former employer knowing that he'd been at a Rovers event the previous night and owning a suite or something at Ewood?

I'm adding other bits and pieces to the large file Glen sent out, so if someone could please link me to it (or PM me about it if the post has been deleted since, which is understandable) then I'd very much appreciate it.

Thanks in advance everyone.
