2,500 10" balloons printed with a logo for each side for the Wolves game = £250 + vat therefore £295

5,000 = £426 plus vat therefore £511

We will not be able to fill them with helium pre-match. But they could be taken on the ground and be blown up the old fashioned way (lungs!) for release af say 18 and 75 minutes. They may even float across the pitch :-)

Anyone interested?

We would have to set up a donation site.

Pretty sure there are certain rules that you need to adhere to for helium balloon releases, its something to do with lots in the sky having potential risk to air traffic, charities have to have special arrangement for balloon releases from what I know...

Blowing balloons up in the ground is an idea but stewards would likely start trying to stop that pretty quickly and I can't see many balloons ending up on the pitch as the won't travel very far when thrown...

The tennis ball thing has been done but is simple, easy to bring in and easy to throw from pretty much anywhere...

Had an idea! What about using our STs to 'enter' the ground, but not actually go in?

May get some attention if the attendance is 10,464 but only a few thousand actually in there?

Ha! Brilliant! Never happen but it's a cracking idea.

But the club already uses the ST holders as being at the ground, even though they are not at the ground.

Yes, but scanning would offer then no excuses. So they can't play with figures, WE play with them instead.

That's the point, I think. It would be plain to see the attendance given wasn't the actual attendance, so the club would have to admit what had happened....

Think the best thing i suggested, was for ST holders and those buying on the day, to actually fill the ground. Once inside make as much noise, damage, then have a massive walk out on live tv. Those who are staying away can make a huge impact, even if it means spending on one ticket for 1 game. A mass walk out will do alot more damage, than just being outside the ground.

Remember, that at present, we are getting attendances below 5000, and this is mainly regulars who will attend no matter what. So its pointless to be just outside the ground. Those who can needs to get in, then wave white flags, turn your backs, and then walk out as early as possible during the game. No point in walking out with 5 or 10 mins to go. The walkout needs to happen after 20 or 30 mins of the 1st half.

A good idea but problem will be if we are winning at the walkout , time !

It needs someone to follow the lead of Emily Pankhurst and handcuff themselves to a post .....

I think this thread needs a poll with various options, one with most votes we just go with it.

My choice would be to boycott the 1st half with protests outside the Blackburn End and enter for the second half and try to fill as much of the ground as possible with as many anti Rao flags as possible. We have tried hurting the Venkys brand for far too long... We need to start hurting their family name instead.

We should disrupt the match as many times as possible without risking people getting a banning order. Tennis balls, balloons, chants, banners, eggs, chickens - anything. Just get them on the pitch and make the cameras notice them.

A pitch invasion is by far the best thing to do. However it would likely bring about a points deduction which the club can't afford right now.

I don't think a boycott will happen, although with it being on tele it's by and far the best chance we have. If we can somehow end up with <5k in the ground it would be a success. However we've had our 'boycott' and it made media attention - perhaps everyone returning and protesting will make more. Make it the most hostile atmosphere since King Rat was here.

There has been talk of doing this for the last few years now. With the appointment of Coyle, recent performances and the emergence of the documents that have come to light tonight we need to make a stand. We have tried everything, there's not much left. It probably won't work but at least we can say we tried.

We have a week to spread the word.

Attend the game, gather at the Blackburn End and don't enter the ground.

#VenkysOut

You want to make a stand against Venky's that will make the worldwide media sit up and take notice about our plight ?

Get on the pitch in the middle of match, several thousand strong, in a sit-down protest and cause the match to be abandoned.

Yes, a few might get arrested and the club would probably be docked points - but that hardly matters as we're going down anyway.

I'd agree with this.

Then refuse to leave after the match, continue with the anti Venky chants throughout the pundits post match analysis.

Great post. Everyone enter the ground but stay in the concourses until 20 minutes into the game. On 20 minutes, everyone walk up and take their seats chanting 'we want Venky's out' and making a right racket. Carry on walking, peacefully enter the pitch to the centre circle and sit down. Job done and if a couple of thousand do it, it will be a good job done.

The centre circle protest is the only protest that would shame the FA. Others will point out it will shame our fans but how else can we force the FA's hand?

Anyone know what this is...?

blackpool-fans-protest-si-down_3297998.j

The FA will simply punish the club - or simply fine and then ignore us.

Where are Blackpool now? Free of their owners? Back on the up? Fans united behind the club? If their centre circle protest got them relegated as a form of protest then they are playing a long game.

We are relying on Venkys being shamed into selling. Using their own cultural pride against them - which may or may not work as they can dismiss the rabble as "the cause of the problem". Thankfully it was only ever 1% of fans so we can't have been that disruptive.

So maybe it is different for us but let's not pretend that anything we do will influence the FA.

I want to bring up the new camera positions. I think the club have played a blinder here and clearly well planned by them.

Firstly the action is closer and I would say better than before.

That aside...

The cameras don't and probably can't (due to their low positions) show the upper tiers. It doesn't matter that 2 are closed and 1 sparcely populated because they are invisible.

Obviously the Riverside is behind cam.

The lower tier JW has the family area where protests are not going to happen.

Mostly you only see the first few rows in the BBE and DE. It isn't shown how empty they are and any banners or protests during the game would not be on camera as in the old camera positions.

Especially the BBE and DE (where banners usually are) nearest the riverside are not really ever in view due to the camera angles.

The feel when watching is now of a small tight ground with no real view at all of the fans.

That said...

Empty stands will not be on tv.

Banners will not be on tv.

Singing during match can be manipulated by sound man. Ineffective to be on tv.

Banners over the hoardings in the JW, fans stood right at the very front and things on the pitch are the only chances to get on TV.

Disrupting the game... Controversial but the idea of using the Wolves game because it is on Sky is to get attention. If protests aren't on the TV it will be no different than doing it at any other game. Ineffective.
