I have serious reservations about the funds being released in March.

When I had my meeting with Waggott in November, he was cock sure that a precedent had been set and for that reason, was almost guaranteeing the funds will be in the bank in February. Well they aren't and although the adjournment may well be due to court pressures, I have this sneaky feeling that the ED investigations, are more serious than some people are making out.

Before the season started, it seems to have been dressed up as Indian tax changes, but not that looks like a cover up, as admitting there were being investigated would not have come out, had it not been spotted by an eagle eyed fan.

The case could be ongoing without conclusion for an undefined period of time and will be heard on the Indian courts timescales as evidenced by the Jan push back.

Exactly so how does that leave the club if they rule that no funds are to be released until it reaches a conclusion.

One thing I will add to my suggestion that the court will not give permission to release the funds. If Waggott or the owners were sure they would, why when we have just broken our outgoing transfer record, are there no funds available?

I suspect that Waggott already either knows, or strongly suspects that there are no funds coming.

Irac the dates were put back in relation to the investigation NOT release of funding to BRFC.

I stand to be corrected if that's the case, but from what I understood, the owners have to go to court every 3 months to get permission to send funds over to the club. The last one was done in November, just before my meeting with Steve Waggott, who was at pains to tell me that he had to provide a full breakdown of exactly what the funds were being used for.

He also went on to tell me that the funds would be sufficient to keep everything paid until February, by which time another hearing would have taken place and he was expecting the green light would be given for more funds to be released.

This hearing was adjourned though and therefore no funding has been sent in February.

Perhaps others can confirm if this is correct or not, but that is my understanding of it.

Do not be surprised if the Raos withdraw their application for the court hearing in march .There is now the Adam money on dripfeed in stages presumably. They will use this to fund the club for the time being why would they go to the court to send funds over when they have to pay the DE a similar amount to whatever the court approves.

Sounds right to me.

The case at the end of Janauary (to get permission to send more funds) was adjourned due to (if I remember correctly) a vigilance meeting.

Exactly what I thought too.

Amended my original post as it was a vigilance (not compliance) meeting.

Ive no idea what one of those is!!

Me neither, but it seems to have stopped the hearing about the release of funds, whatever it was.

12th March is now the key court date

That’s correct. Is it a hearing about the funds as I think, or about the investigation into VH?

Steve Waggott has played a blinder the last 24 hours.

I'd be interested to know which supporters trusts declined to attend the interview. They are the ones we should be going to now to push the protests on

He's managed to create a new narrative: not one of club incompetence, or of a club hamstrung by tax investigations and distant, careless owners, but instead one which has been ravaged by division, where boos hurt and unity is so very important

He has removed his biggest critic. Been seen in public with influential fans and 'senior councils' of playing staff. He has been seen to "act", and then today we know that heads will roll

Maybe there is a reason the Venkys pay him so much money after all

I’d say he’s created an additional narrative rather than replacing the old one.

Of course that still helps him - if people let it…

Hearing on permission to send funds and to go through what the funds will be used for.

Today he's recruited loanees to continue the propaganda.

He's a proper David Brent. No wonder Andy C got taken to the cleaners.  Nothing is beneath this specimen.
