Backroom Mike E Posted December 9, 2022 Backroom Posted December 9, 2022 Argentina too complacent, like Brazil. Momentum now with the Dutch! Quote

Another team that went a goal up then tried to shut up shop. Just carry on playing your natural game - you just invite pressure otherwise. 2 Quote
Backroom DE. Posted December 9, 2022 Backroom Posted December 9, 2022 Mid-2000s Bolton era tactics getting the Dutch back into the game. You love to see it. 4 Quote

simongarnerisgod Posted December 9, 2022 Posted December 9, 2022 for the last 10 years the dutch have been woeful and now they are playing like bloody wimbledon of the 80`s🙂 1 Quote

Messi is a cracking player, no doubt about it, but the commentators and pundits constantly are cringeworthy beyond belief with how they talk about him. Agree it's irritating and factually just wrong, when he's walking around doing next to nothing. He's a wonderful player still and influential in bursts. If we were still in the era of the No.10 who only had creative responsibilities, he might be even more influential. But, then again, the football world is caught up in denial. Jack Grealish has been used by Southgate as a defensive winger this tournament, as one might bring on a DM to stabilise the game. A 100 million player brought on primarily to pass it backwards or win a free kick but you won't hear a pundit or commentator say it. (I'm not saying it's a bad tactic, just that no-one acknowledges this reality). 3 Quote

Proudtobeblue&white Posted December 9, 2022 Posted December 9, 2022 God forbid we go to penalties tomorrow night, win or lose in nighty minutes, my blood pressure doesn't need it. 2 Quote
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted December 9, 2022 Posted December 9, 2022 Dingle fans...that Dutch b'stard never scored like that for us! Come on Netherlands. 1 Quote
jim mk2 Posted December 9, 2022 Posted December 9, 2022 A display from the Netherlands there for about 20 minutes of how England might have played under Sam Allardyce Hands up who doesn't prefer it to boring pass-pass keep-ball? 1 Quote
simongarnerisgod Posted December 9, 2022 Posted December 9, 2022 how have argentina got so many fans in qatar when the country is allegedly on the brink of economic collapse and their are soup kitchens on the street corners of their major cities 2 Quote
Darrenbot Posted December 9, 2022 Posted December 9, 2022 A lot of the fans in Argie shirts aren't Argentinian, they're middle eastern or south east asian fans who have adopted Argentina as their National team to support https://www.aljazeera.com/sports/2022/11/7/world-cup-2022-thousands-of-argentina-fans-flock-to-qatar Quote

superniko Posted December 9, 2022 Posted December 9, 2022 (edited) Worst refereeing performance I can remember……and I watch the Championship each week. Amazed it took 75 minutes for them to realise the Argies just have a load of midgets at the back. Edited December 9, 2022 by superniko 2 Quote
Backroom DE. Posted December 9, 2022 Backroom Posted December 9, 2022 Glad Argentina went through in the end. Only one team genuinely tried to win tonight and it wasn't the Dutch. Their first 83 minutes were shamefully lacklustre and they did nothing in extra time either, playing for penalties as if they were minnows. They didn't deserve to go any further. 3 Quote
Exiled_Rover Posted December 9, 2022 Posted December 9, 2022 If we beat France we can win the whole thing. Argentina aren't very good. 4 Quote
AllRoverAsia Posted December 9, 2022 Posted December 9, 2022 What a bloody awful referee that was I assume he shags Messi. Quote
simongarnerisgod Posted December 9, 2022 Posted December 9, 2022 was a good game, referee should should seek help from a physchologist and the dutch plumb new depths by playing like conference north side Quote

Giant Posted December 9, 2022 Posted December 9, 2022 A game with everything; goals, fights, pens and drama. Loved it. 2 Quote
AllRoverAsia Posted December 9, 2022 Posted December 9, 2022 I cannot understand why the Dutch didn't stay with what worked and play it long to the Dingle. Really stupid by the fool van Whathisname. 3 Quote
