I know he doesn’t play for us anymore and I know some aren’t happy about that but I will always consider him one of our own

 

thinking about it, when was the last time one of our own youth players made it to start for England?

In a competitive game too!

The highlights don't show up Wharton well. Looked unsure positionally and no moments on the ball in open play (albeit, looked like Bellingham was determined not to be outshone by him).

But that's just the highlights and understandable given the moment. I hope he gets more chances, maybe, with a defensive player alongside him.

One would hazard a guess that he was under instructions to reveal that info, as it means that there is no possibility of reaching 5 competitive caps before the transfer window, so it gives them another excuse as to why there is next to no transfer budget come January

Why would we play him next to a defensive player? whoever the 6 player is whether Anderson or Wharton will play next to Rice surely?

Kent Exile wasn't far wrong when he/she joked it would be dependent upon Adam scoring the winning goal in a penalty shoot out in a semi final in the Southern Hemisphere etc etc.......
