On the face of it, after surviving by the skin of their teeth last season, this feels like comfortably one of the worst appointments they could have made.

I wouldn't appoint him but he has the chance to prove his coaching and man management skills now.

official appointment

One relegation spot sorted then.

Very harsh, he single handedly kept Plymouth in the Championship last year.

Wonder which club he will keep up this season 🙂

Was he not supposed to show coaching and man management skills at Birmingham?

could be a few goals in the play off final, southampton can`t defend and i don`t think leeds are great there either, not bothered about who wins, though russelmartinball in the premier league would be ******* funny, the guy is so up himself we won`t think he needs to adjust

Once again when they are really needed the likes of Gnonto, Summerville, Piroe and Rutter go missing. It's a huge second half for Leeds but judging from the first half they need to hugely improve.

If I was Farke I would take off Gnonto, Gruev, Piroe for James, Roberts and Joseph

I gather Leeds are in some serious financial trouble if they don't get promoted.

Whoever loses is in financial trouble. Southampton lost £87m in the last year.

But they have loads of players they can sell in their current squad and even out of loan like Harrison or Aaronsson for example.

I do find the majority of these play-off finals to be dismal affairs. I don't blame the teams as once a lead is established its just a game killing exercise but I find it tedious as a viewer.

This one here I reckon the ball has been in play for at most 20 minutes of the second half, 9 minutes added on
