Morgan Whittaker? You really think if we had all of the Wharton money, we could get him? Heads in the clouds.

He's the player I believe we scouted at Plymouth last season and was about to sign only for Waggot/Broughton to mix it up and they brought in Ennis instead.... they surely made a mess with it.

That’s harsh, of course we will, his name will be dropped on deadline day, supporters will start watching YouTube videos of *insert name* and start talking about a late playoff push and what tactics should be employed to accommodate *insert name*,
deadline will pass and we still won’t be hear from the club if *insert name* is a Blackburn player.

following morning there will be social media rumours of concern followed by a club statement to say Agnes the tea lady had a fall and it meant all the necessary staff had to go and take grapes to the hospital so they missed the deadline by 0.0256 of a second, but don’t worry they expect to win an appeal.

in the coming days the club look foolish and very silly and basically laughed at by the powers that be and get told no chance.

but we confirmed the player leaving went through without a hitch.

we will get an honest and frank interview by egg whereby he takes responsibility for the muck up and promises everyone is trying really hard and the owners are honestly really really committed to the cause and will be in contact soon.

but don’t worry, as a sorry the club will freeze season ticket sales , albeit they will be in league 1.

so yea, very harsh mate, we are a completely non circus and professional football club 😬

You missed the bit where we spend £2m on an unsuccessful appeal.

Edit:  Oops sorry no you didn't, my bad.

Morgan Whittaker and Ennis played together last season upfront for Plymouth. Whittaker was the better one of the two. The recruitment team needs a spanking....

That scenario (especially considering that we had no fees to spend) definitely didnt happen.

Six days until deadline day. If he's sold we should have replacements lined up. Seems a bit bonkers to let Travis leave so early in the window on a loan deal to a Championship rival.

I think they let Travis go , knowing Wharton could well be going !

Personally I would love to see JDT and Broughton use the Wharton sale to make a stand and tell that useless lump Waggot to convey the following to Venkys: That if they don't get at least 50% of the proceeds to reinvest into the squad, that they will immediately resign.

This will have several potential benefits; it would force Venkys hand to either honour the job description sold to jdt and Broughton / highlight to the average clueless fans exactly what the club has become / protect their joint reputations before they are further damaged by working under impossible conditions / bring the whole shambles to the fore once and for all.

JDT seems strangely upbeat about incomings before the deadline. Hopefully he's hearing positive signals from GB.

The Crewe guy is a good signing.

Where can I find him happy? Yet to see it since Waggot broke promises.

If we were actually all in on the 'brentford' model, the Wharton money would give us a massive head start from where Brentford started. They only started getting £20m+ for players in their last few seasons in the championship. How many good, young, championship level players could a competent club get in if they were allowed even half of what we might get for Wharton?

Instead we will probably get more excuses and more muddling along in the lower reaches of the league

He sounds positive over 3 more incomings before deadline , an experienced centre back and forward were 2 mentioned.

It's in the telegraph

For all we know a Palace/Wharton deal could already be agreed but it won't become public until the final hours of deadline day so as not to..

A - Get fans demanding decent re-investment.

B - Drive up the fee/loan fee/wages for any cheapos we are in for.

C - Alert whoever we owe money to.

Btw I wouldn’t be surprised if the AW sale goes through on deadline day evening so that we haven’t time to reinvest and then any funds for transfers are forgotten about come the summer.
it seems that that is what happened when we got decent money for AA.

Could you imagine how far ahead we’d be had we gotten £15,000,000 for Diaz and £10,000,000 for Rothwell?

It's going to happen, the lad will become a millionaire overnight, at 19.

And if it does happen and we were running normally, we'd sign a prolific striker, a good midfielder and CB, and the best goalie any spare change will buy, and base the team around them with a view to a promotion push next season.

Sell Gallagher, loan Ennis and use the money to bring in a good experienced forward to go alongside the striker. Let Leonard learn from them whilst being our super sub.

Keep Szmodics.

Sadly we aren't a normal club.

I bet we could have before Plymouth bought him in the summer yet we went for the unfit fat boy he replaced instead.

'Chaddy mode on' and yes I did suggest him at the time....

We had no money to pay fees.
