It was a message to the players & the fans. I’d be amazed if that contract didn’t have fixed compensation clauses in it as opposed to “paying up the unexpired term”. But that said, if he is wiling to play the game, as was Kean, then realistically they won’t pot him as they’d then have to find another patsy. I’ve said it multiple times on here, as indeed have many others - this club isn’t about chasing on-field success. It’s about reducing costs. It could also contain a 'you won't get sacked if we are relegated in season one' and 'bonus for instant promotion from league 1' clause and bonus ... 1 Quote

Hopefully there is a modest mutual agreement amount signed into his contract otherwise he'll not be going anywhere even if he tries to get himself sacked. Quote

Unless he name checks Suhail in a post match rant of course. 1 Quote

When that proved trickier than they thought with all the hassle with JDT and Broughton which will have ended up costing more anyway some bright spark (or shadow) then presented the sell everybody we can model. Reduce wages, replace with cheaper, pacify the agent involvement with a wad of commission then pray we stay up and grow these so called assets for a season or two. Then repeat. He just needed to get the right people in place first and get rid of all the opposition then install a cheap yes man with Championship experience and no relegation on his cv. I was told that was Waggott, well before the end of Tomasson's first season. Of course he could have been following orders. It's still happening so it would appear so. I hear an ex manager is keen to take another of our homegrown players and it's likely to happen. 1 Quote

Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted 3 hours ago Moderation Lead Posted 3 hours ago Redefining the word ‘abuse’ to suit an agenda, that old chestnut. It’s football- if you lose you are criticised, don’t like it, maybe it’s not for you lad. Criticism and abuse aren’t the same. 3 Quote

Yes, since Ismael is now showing such a heartfelt commitment to social issues, perhaps it’s about time he champions the importance of a free press. Quote

As sky-high as Rudy and Suhail? F**k sake. They even set up an unofficial Twitter account from inside the club to control the narrative during the summer. Wake up! Quote
