Koko Saito still not got a move. Was last linked with Portsmouth. I'd love that one but 0 chance of it happening...

Good player.

Think he's still out of action from a pretty bad shoulder injury he sustained at the back end of last season though.

Today i'm going with;

- Confirmation of Carter's injury.
- Baradji deal off.
- Cryptic link from a foreign journo.

I don’t think the hierarchy at Rovers give a shit about us. There won’t be any updates regarding Kapaudi (us plebs don’t need to know such things) or Brittain until he has gone. They really don’t give a shit.
My guess is some gossip news will regurgitate something from LET and twitter.

They're just trying to run us like a normal trading entity instead of a football club. Guarantee they don't believe there's any difference in quality between players, just sell one for more than the next you buy. They'd put a chicken in goal if they could get away with it.

The chicken in goal, isn't a bad idea actually. we could also use one as a winger too and if we get to the semi final of the league cup, we could draft a couple more in for the second leg.

They would help with our survival bid, as we could be saved by the skin of our teeth, as points, could be rarer than hens teeth, this season

Keep me abreast of developments, as we have no money so the next signing, should be chicken feed and maybe we will get them by the bucket load.

Tasty stuff all this.

To be fair, no club ever gives official details of failed bids for players so you can't really blame them for not updating us on Kapaudi.

Same with Brittain, only word from the club will be when he goes.

I imagine there will be a name or two thrown out by Nixon/Elliot this week to distract the fanbase though, it's how we operate.

I’m certainly not envious of Millwall giving some sort of trial to a bloke who turns 33 in September because he has a promotion under his belt 2 years ago.

Doesn’t fit the bill for Ismael and throwing money down the drain

Odds on we'll be desperate for someone like that by mid season.

Agree, Travis, in particular has held the club to ransom way too often now. Get what we can for him and let’s add some pace and power in that midfield.

When has Trav held the club to ransom?

Could anyone really complain if Travis buggers off at the first opportunity?

Isn't he supposed to have said to a fan at Accrington on Saturday he hadn't received a contract offer?

At his age, his next contract is so important as his earning potential will never be higher.

On Brittain. Sign a deal or sell at this point.

impressive end to last season, seems to suit Ismael as a manager, perhaps we should’ve tied him down last summer. But I for one was quite critical of him at that point, seemed to be a passenger when us as team where under the pump.

Sad to lose him, particularly to a rival, but as many others have stated, we have lost a lot worse and recovered.

Why sell?

We ain't spending the money. It isn't increasing our transfer kitty. We've already brought in his replacement and the jury is very much out on whether he's any good. Almost certainly he's inferior to Brittain.

If we don't sell him then we get another year of a good Championship player in our ranks. If we do sell we are going to be weaker.

More importantly than that £2-3 million for him just makes it cheaper and easier for Venkys and probably helps chief stooge with his annual bonus.

You're trying to normalise this as just part and parcel of everyday life and that Rovers just need to move on and reinvest and try to get better. None of those things are the priority here. We aren't trying to get better or responding to events beyond our control. We have created this mess through a deliberate strategy of running down contracts and that is because the priority is to cut costs and help the owners.

I'd rather not help them.

If we don’t sell, you’re the same person who will be complaining about us letting him go on a free next season.

Considering how chaotic they are at the top, Watford are making some impressive signings...Fans backlash re managerial positions and rightly so, but the owners are reacting and spending.

Ours have been asleep for over a decade.
