They believe rovers transfer dealings, both in and out, for a few seasons now have been poor and is a major reason for concern. โA couple of the new boys didnโt turn upโ. Basically they believe the club is heading into dangerous waters. I 100% go along with them. 6 Quote

Alebiosu was doing all the work on the right practically on his own with the non-existent Hedges ahead of him. I was really concerned about him before yesterday but he pleasantly surprised me....maybe my expectations have dropped through the floor in recent seasons but he seemed ok to me. 3 Quote

Someone yesterday suggested playing him in front of Miller, seems like a plan to me.ย Edited 3 hours ago by M_B Quote
Backroom DE. Posted 3 hours ago Backroom Posted 3 hours ago Alebiosu was quite alright, especially considering it was his debut, but against a very average WBA side just OK is a downgrade on what we would have had. I think Brittain would have really troubled that WBA team yesterday.ย 1 Quote
Popular Post Miller11 Posted 3 hours ago Popular Post Posted 3 hours ago Unless there is some sort of miracle before the transfer window closes, I think our best bet is to play Gueye, Kargbo and Miller every game. Smash long balls up to Gueye, get Miller on every throw in, tell Kargbo to run at people. This was where we looked most effective yesterday and pre season - particularly against competent opposition. I donโt think we are scoring many goals otherwise. 13 Quote

Brittain is a good Championship RB, but he's not a worldie and he's not a game changer. Alebiosu rolled a ball across their 6 yard box and absolutely nobody attacked it. Brittain would have been similarly frustrated yesterday. 1 Quote

I donโt think we are scoring many goals otherwise. I agree with the sentiment, but we did exactly that for 30 mins yesterday and created absolutely nothing and had no shots on target. I think we looked more threatening at the end of the first half with Hedges coming inside to make room for Alebiosu to overlap. That also didn't look remotely threatening either, but slightly more so. We should have swapped Hedges and Kargbo over once Alebiosu went off. Miller offered no threat aside from the long throws. Ohashi should have been the 10 with Gueye up top If weโve learnt one thing from yesterdayโs game it is the Gueye and Ohashi arenโt on the same wavelength. I could see that when we tried it the last time against Millwall last season. Ohashi is a penalty box player, pure and simple. 1 Quote

Hasta Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago (edited) Alebiosu was OK in a knock-it-and-run down the wing and cross or win aย corner kind of way. Still should have done better for the goal regardless of the attention of the opposition player. He doesn't worry me as much as De Neve and Hendriksson did ,as we have another potentially good option there with Miller. ย Edited 2 hours ago by Hasta 1 Quote

Iโm not reading too much into his debut. Iโm one of the few who thought Alibeouso (sp?) did ok. Beat his man and delivered a couple of decent crosses. One early in the first half went right across the box with nobody there to take advantage of it.ย Travis is going to go and I think thatโs pretty obvious now. He will be a big loss in the centre of the park. Not sure heโs going to be easy to replace. I do wonder if Axel may be his replacement in there.ย I agree on Alebiosu who looked ok on debut but he got forward and try to do what Brittain did for us. Replacing Brittain was always going to tough task given his qualities and how he played the right back role.ย ย Quote

Well, in our family, we all "knew" after Coyle's first game against Norwich. The suicidal transfer window was a key issue then, as well.. 2 Quote
