Strange no link to E Dennis who is available maybe on a free...

He didn't show anything here thoughย

Be quite happy to have him right now .ย  Given a run of games sure he'd do the business..

Was Shefki better than Gueye?

Think Gueye thought he would be the nr one to lead the line....been messed with in pre season. Normally you want to show the manager he made som wrong decisions... But Gueye?

We had Dennis, Woodrow, Yuki, Dolan, Weimann and Gueye as possible starters up top last season and now we have Gueye and Yuki.

It just doesn't make any sense to me

Think of the money being saved. Then it makes total sense.ย

What is the situation with Leonard? Val doesnโ€™t fancy him or are we nursing him to (hopefully) fitness after all the injuries.

Someone mentioned non-football related issue which typically means money (ie clauses in contract)

Tarabat was a qpr folk hero. A player that made things happen and delivered.ย  Cantwell has none of those things so far

The disrespect to name Cantwell in the same sentence as Taraabt is quite something

fans who only see games and nothing else to declare a player completely useless after approx 90mins of football is simply wrongย

It varies from player to player but I think there are certain occasions when you can be so definitive.

Older supporters will remember strikers Dave Hargreaves and Paul Mckinnon coming in for trial games from Accrington Stanley and Sutton United respectively and looking completely out of their depth.

Id seen enough of Grabbi after one game to conclude we'd been sold a complete dud at a vastly inflated price. I think I was 100% correct with that snap judgment but I got grief about it for ages because people didn't want to accept we'd been conned out of ยฃ7m. (How you doing USA? ๐Ÿ™‚)

For present purposes Im not sure who's said what about which player but I wouldn't be arguing with anyone who said De Neve or Montgomery were nowhere near the required standard. Tbh Henriksson could hardly have played worse so far either but he does appear to have a better pedigree so hopefully with him it's a case of settling in.

Having never seen the man kick a ball, nor know anything about him beyond a cursory Google of 'fastest footballer' - I introduce to you Sirlord Conteh (great name).ย  Plays both up front and on the right (big tick).ย  No work permit required and only started 4 games for his club last year.ย ย

ย

He's

Absolutely

Rapid

I see QPR have just paid ยฃ2.5m for a winger. No chance we'll ever pay them sort of fees.ย

Can't even compete with QPR now.

Haven't they just signed Kone for a similar fee as well? Or is that the same deal?

Either way we're getting left behind, even by run of the mill Clubs.

Understand it's a bit psychological with Leonard - too apprehensive to push himself too hard.ย  Can understand where he is after two serious back injuries (stress fractures?) as another one might be career threatening..ย  There's only one way to find out and the lad needs to bite the bullet.ย

He'll sit on the bench on better wages and be brought on when they are 1 nil up on 60 mins i'd assume.

Just been told and forgive me if itโ€™s already been posted but .. when Travis leaves that will mean there will have been over 1500 championship appearances leave the squad this summer and about 100 brought inย

we have the money, given the fact we`ve raked in millions from outgoing transfersย  in the last threeย  seasons and there is a new tv deal for all championship clubs, they are all spending on wages and playersย  while we are shopping in farm foods,it`s going to relegate us imo

qpr spending very while we spend loose change on 2nd division players from around europe

Catching up properly on the last few days activity (out in Florida on holiday) and itโ€™s all quite depressing isnโ€™t it.

2 losses, no incomings and Travis off?

Canโ€™t say I blame Trav but also think the boss is right to call him out if heโ€™s been a bit of an arse but I donโ€™t fully know whatโ€™s gone on.

Iโ€™ve never rated him as highly as others (no revisionism) and thought heโ€™s often more bothered about being a pantomime villain ala Robbie Savage at times to his detriment but itโ€™s not relevant as the only thing that really matters is the stone cold fact that we wonโ€™t replace him with better, if heโ€™s replaced at all.ย

Expecting another loss at weekend and it could get uglier soon

Not after his dismal show at Bramall lane.

Too quiet for my liking. Nothing new about incomings or outgoingsย

Travis is leaving and we're replacing him like for like, plus we're chasing a RW.

If we sell any of our other players they're supposedly being replaced. So yes, there are things happening - but careful what you wish for because they will all be net negative.

Surely E Dennis is available on loan. Hasnt been included in games for Forest. Would you take him?

No the man was shite last season and has hardly seen any action in 2 years.
