He’s been a very good signing and fits the bill of a modern full back. Very athletic with the pace to beat his man and deliver a ball into the box. Only ray of sunshine from the summer signings

He will have doubled his wage from what he was on at a 2nd tier Belgium team (he was on loan in Scotland), and will have put himself in the shop window for a move to a well run club paying proper wages by the summer (or possibly even January)

Yeah was only on loan with us but we (including Robinson I think) thought we might be able to get him on a permanent deal in the summer. However, once it became clear we were competing with Blackburn it was obvious we weren’t going to get him.
Good luck for the rest of the season and hope you can find a way to turn the form around. Always had a soft spot for Blackburn since King Kenny’s days. 👍

Good luck to you guys too, I hope that you have a much better season than the one that it appears that Rovers look to be about to encounter

Aside from players arriving on a free and then their market value being X, I'm struggling to think of many former Blackburn players who arrived on a small fee and is probably worth 10x that amount in a few months.

Great signing so far and to think there is still SO much more he can learn and improve on. I just hope we're already sorting out that contract extension otherwise he might leave for less than what we paid 😂

Chris Samba cost us less than £0.5M

Did Ryan Nelsen cost a fee?  In my head he cost about £25K, but everything on line suggests he was a free

That would be a big problem.

No worries, Miller can move over to wing back and Carter can step in.... oh never mind, I see the flaw in my thinking

No clue how reliable this is but apparently trying to get a Nigerian passport to play in AFCON - https://owngoalnigeria.com/2025/11/04/blackburn-rovers-defender-in-race-against-time-to-get-nigerian-passport-ahead-of-super-eagles-debut/

If true then obviously great for him but terrible for us if he misses games end of the year.

Probably great news for us generating a transfer fee too. But he's our best player, and a really difficult role to replace as it's so demanding physically and technically, so would be a massive miss for us.

There are some footballers out there, not necessarily at Rovers, who honestly seem to be having a laugh throughout their careers. They're constantly injured or look uninterested, yet somehow they're fit enough to fly out for international duty, play a full 90 minutes, and then come back acting like they couldn't care less.

As for Ryan Alebiosu, it's a completely different story. Even though his absence would leave us with a major issue, I’d be genuinely thrilled for him. He’s given us more than we could have asked for when he first signed, and he absolutely deserves every bit of success that comes his way due to how brilliant he's been. If he gets the call-up, I’ll be cheering him on and hoping he absolutely smashes it.

He’s in the preliminary Nigeria squad for Afcon. Good news for him. But awful for us given he’s been our one standout player all season.

Was just about to post similar, firstly congrats to him, well deserved.  Secondly, I am sure Pasha & Rudy will be rubbing their hands together thinking about "adding to his value" prior to a sale next summer.

54 man provisional squad, which seems excessive to the point of being ridiculous

This next bit I found terrifying

Delighted for him if he makes it but would be a huge loss for us.

He was one of the least exciting signings on paper and pre season looked like he could be Miller’s back up for the right back spot but has took to the league brilliantly.

Is he better than Brittain? Jury is out and it’s probably too early to definitively state he is but the biggest compliment is that we don’t seem to be missing Brittain who looked to be a huge loss.

Good for him!

Regarding Brittain - seem to remember he was also shit in the air (Alebiosu's most striking weakness) in which case i would rate them about equal but it will be interesting to see if opposing sides start "figuring out" how to negate Alebiousu over time to some degree

Derby did a good job on him…
