Worth noting how high-spending Derby with their top-tier coach are getting on.....

Yeah.

Above us in the table.

As you're presumably being critical of Eustace, you must be even more so of Ismael?

I watched North End's first half. They're benefiting from having an established (for this league anyway) manager who's had chance to build a style of play. It also helps that despite having a turnover of transfers not far off Rovers-level over the summer, of the 12 they've brought in 11 were UK based.

They've spent far less yet their recruitment has been much better.

Preston have spent less in fees, but  more in wages

How is today result a poor one considering we were 1 nil behind?

Not directed at me, you were arguing as usual with RF99 and Im stating the bleedin' obvious but most people commented we were in such a poor position we really needed six points, or as an absolute bare minimum four points, from the last two home games.

We've got one. Therefore, obviously, the point today was a poor result. We needed the win even more desperately than we would have done had we won in midweek.

We stop the losses and came from behind to get a point. Take the positive and can now build on it. Its a shame we ger stupid international football back again. FFS.

We created some good chances today.

This is so far off the truth. They were in the Premier League and had qualified for Europe the year that foreign owners bought them. We'd have to do something similar to be appealing to foreign money.

We must be at least as good a bet as say Wycombe…🤷‍♂️

Last season we were in the top 6 all the way through and fell away to finish 7th.

Derby County, who were in administration a few years ago and League One as recently as 2024, who took our manager, captain and other players off us, and who survived in this league by the finest of margins last season.

Now we are supposed to be feeling smug that they are struggling and 'only' a point above us?

Ok. So how about Wrexham, Birmingham, Forest, Wolves, West Brom, Leicester, Norwich, Ipswich, QPR, Portsmouth, Cardiff, Swansea, Sheff Wed, Sheff Utd, Barnsley, Huddersfield, Reading, Watford or Charlton

All taken over by 'foreign money' in recent years none of whom were in the Premier League at the time

I see that as always there's no response to these facts.

I'm so sick of people trying to make that argument as it's complete and utter bollocks. So so lazy, and if people spend even half a second to use their own brains instead of just blindly repeating club propaganda, they'd see just how fucking stupid that argument is.

Yes. His ball control is diabolical. Lost possession against Swansea leading to their winning goal.

We've signed to many players from abroad, it's gonna take time.

Hard fought well earned and very important point there and another game where we perhaps should have found another goal.

Kargbo took the goal well and much improved effort but still looks like there is a bit of wrong attitude about him.

Cantwell immense there'll certainly be interest in Jan if he can keep it up, played like a captain today.

Deserved a point and hopefully they come up with a decent system in he break before our annual Coventry loss, still wasn't impressed with the tactics again today really but effort not in question.

There might be interest in Alibiouso pardon the spelling, he gets better every game.

Yes, because it's slim pickings.

From what I've seen so far, Gueye has more footballing ability in his big toe than Gudjohnson has in his entire body. Why oh why did we let Harry Leonard go?

Hedges is playing very well this season. I've tried to find info on Baradji with very little success. I bet he's a no-hoper as well.

Long awful season ahead

Leonard hasn’t scored yet for Peterborough has he?

Good point. I take a point now

How were we crap when we created 2 great chances to score(Cantwell and Gudjohnsen) first half?

Gudjohnsen looks like a dud after 2 starts? Woah. Show much for patience and give him some leeway given he been a month. I despair and your lack of understanding that he needs time to settle in, learn what Ismael, etc. Just imagine if you moved away and different country wouldn't you expect people to give you some time and patience to adapt to a new country and what your new manager wanted from you?

Hedges very good today. Disagree?

Well I certainly wouldnt have taken a point before the game. Its a home game against a side thats nothing special, off the back of a dreadful start to the season. Unlike our overall start, its not terrible by any means, but we needed a win.

On Gudjohnsen, had it been a player who had 2 really good first starts, people would be saying what a signing he looks and you wouldnt say a word. Im just speaking on what weve seen so far, hes looked crap, miles off it, has had 2 massive chances that hes totally fluffed and his poor touches have twice led indirectly to opposition goals. Im not writing him off, lets make that clear, its very early days, but he has also looked rubbish in his first 2 starts, lets not beat around the bush. Lets hope he improves and fast.

Did I think Hedges was "very good" or man of the match? No to both. I dont recall anything he did going forward in terms of quality. Plodded up and down without threatening.

Its been a really poor start to the season heading into the second international break. 2 wins, 6 losses and a draw. I dont see much to be optimistic about at the moment.

Shouldn't take time to learn to control a football.

Meant to be an international footballer.

Cantwell would look even better if he had some decent players around with him with a bit of pace.

Can't knock the squad for pace, this is probably the most athletic squad since Hughes.  The issue is what they do immediately after the pace stops

Perhaps we are getting our poor results in early this season, and we will go on an unbeaten run-in, to the play-offs.

Alebiosu and Kargbo are quick, not seeing much pace elsewhere.

Would you taken a point at 80 mins with being 1 nil down?

like I have previously, some players will settle quicker than other. Gudjohnsen has been here around a month. Tronstad took a couple of months despite him previously played in England for Huddersfield and spent 2 years here in the UK. Look at De Neve who didn't look good 2 months ago but today he did look good

Well, we have to disagree here.

Its been a start that many of us are unhappy but given the overhaul of the squad is that surprising? probably not
