Happy with 3 points and creeping from the relegation spots, but we were playing the worst team in the league and made work of it.

Great result.

Not at all convinced we'd have won that under Ismael.

Also as it turns out, we've only lost two points due to the match abandonments.

The Club have got away with that somewhat.

Those two might yet prove consequential…

Absolutely dreadful game of football, non-league stuff at times. If we carry on playing like this we'll go down. Hopefully a few days before Norwich allows us to come up with a better plan than that tonight.

I don't think so.  We are very, very poor.

I think Toth had one save (of any note) to make all night and their GK made 3 excellent ones.

No, we're not Klopp's Liverpool ripping teams apart, but that was a much improved performance tonight.

Similar to what's been said - 3 points is 3 points.

Thought we pressed pretty well and a bit more aggressive than usual.

Cashin was very good, goal aside.

Cantwell frustratingly poor, he's not just a luxury player at this point, he's wasting attacks and failing to make simple passes.

Baradji was heading that way towards the end (having had a decent game), but was clearly knackered.

Rovers looked every bit a nervous team low on confidence. So a big win in a poor game

Maybe the confidence will start to grow under DJ

Get in!

Horrible match, what was DJ doing with his team selection? Jørgensen as a lone striker? We are in a dogfight relegation battle. Baradji needed to be subbed off (a lot) earlier too.

We didn’t look very organised tonight, but got the job done. Carter, Cashin, Miller and Tronstad of the starters were all excellent. Toth did well too. I would bench Cantwell and let Baradji roam, with Forshaw in behind with Tronstad for the next game.

Baradjis on another level thats why its hot and cold.... he does something great then the others are on an below par level and he looks like he is lost....

Alebiosu, Cashin, Trondstad and Baradji are good players in a poor side. Had we bought in one or two good strikers we would not be down there. There is potential in Gudjohnsen and Jorgensen but they should had some strikers with experience around them.

I just don't think Baradji sees the picture around him.

Very skilful player, a big rugged athlete, but he plays with his head down too much.

Too many times tonight he got the ball in good situations (either through a pass or stumbling through a few tackles) and didn't know what to do with it. The 50 yard back pass to the GK being the most glaring example.

Forshaw out with calf problem (again). Not even worth putting him in the 25 squad.

If somebody offered me £2.50 plus a Fredo for Cantwell I'd take it. Wouldn't get anywhere near my squad if I was in charge

Bad smell, I won't be the slightest bit bothered when he leaves.

It's a shame how low the bar is for a good or 'improved' performance.

Wednesday are by far the worst team in decades, maybe ever, to play at this level. If you plucked a random team from League 2 and stuck them in the Championship they would probably have won more than 1 match out of 30. We have scraped past them with a great save from Toth and what looked like a goal line clearance.

We are still in massive trouble.

Sadly we’re still playing Ismael hoofball, thumping it upfield to no one.
We were very very nervous, but because of their situation they could play without fear. Fear makes players panic and often give the ball away needlessly. Most of their “chances” came from their long throws and great crosses back into our box from our clearances.
when we play more controlled football we look so much better. Let’s hope this gives us more confidence for the future as we’re still trying to get our first choice players back to full fitness.

Im really surprised they didnt try to get him off the wage bill this window.

Maybe there was no interest and I can see why. Incredibly frustrating player.

I think if Tronstads goes in we'd have relaxed a bit and scored another 1 or 2. We're a very damaged and evidently nervous team. Whilst Sheff Weds are in dreadful form, they've only been losing 1 or 2 nil throughout Jan so it's not THAT shocking a scoreline.

Cashin was superb, he may well be a massive player for us for the remainder of this season. Fair play after a horror debut!

5 games left in Feb and we'll need to be significantly better in all 5 to get even a point from each. Huge task for either DJ or whoever steps in.

Gudjohnsen and Alebiosu looked a little rusty, understandably so, both can make a big difference.

Baradji I find really odd with some of his decisions although other times he looks a smart player.

You've just described Cantwell without the rugged athlete part
