I could however see Ismael storming off he has form for it but if the axe has truly come it's because Balaji has got out of the right side of bed after having an early night for once. I think the easier 2+2=; We made no more signings today and signed a cheap punt on Sunday because it cost us £1+million to say bye Val. Quote
Norbert Rassragr Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago We know it'll be a fool who'll be next, so we may as well hire a complete outsider for a laugh. Either they'll walk this time next year so I expect Frank Rijkaard or Edgar Davids even though they've not managed for a decade. Famous name and all that. Quote

bluebruce Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago I'm not sure I care right now who we get. They'll be shit, and if they're not, they'll ditch us when the club fails them, leaving us back at square one. Sick of this fucking purgatory. 3 Quote

That does seem feasible. Hope the new manager/Coach rates Jorgensen or that could end up a very costly mistake. Quote

Just think the balance of probability, based on the evidence we have both in terms of Ismaels flaky character and how things are said to have happened here in the past, suggests things have finally come to a head and something has given. At some point in the future Suhail or someone will say the order came from the owners or Val chose to leave. Truth = the middle somewhere. 1 Quote

Fucking clueless manager. 2 Quote
Fraserkirky Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago Steven Gerrard is a good shout. Might fancy it and stay in his house. 1 Quote
Bbrovers2288 Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago Gerrard didn’t do that well with rangers btw, 1/9 trophy’s won in a 2 team league and then bombed with Villa. Don’t see him as the man to drag us to safety and then don’t see him sticking around for league 1. No thanks from me 2 1 Quote

Unfortunately that's the reason he will never be offered the job here. 6 Quote

Lancaster Rover Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Ange would be a total disaster here, his whole philosophy is built on a combination of high intensity running, rotations and speed. Our current squad is brainless and slow. A match made in hell 1 Quote
Ossydave Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago 4 real options as I see it. 1. Relative unknown doing a decent job overseas with an interest in managing in England. We'd be a good stepping stone for that. 2. UK based relatively inexperienced lower league manager looking to step up 3. UK based, out of work, Desperate to get back into it 4. Random out of work manager who's agent approaches RG expressing interest. My pick is option 1, RG I suspect will pick number 4. 2 Quote
TheFinalCountdown Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago We hired Pishmael when we were 5th in the League. Cheap, ambitionless, a real momentum killer. We wont hire anyone ambitious or outspoken. I cant help thinking we'll end up with Ryan Lowe. I also think they will try and hire an ex favourite on the coaching staff to help quell any future boycotts. Lets not fall for it. Quote

roverblue Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Look at the complete chumps in charge, Pasha and Gestede. Pasha will know next to nobody in football and Gestede probably a few ex managers he played for or some obscure foreign French speaking lads. The pool of contacts they will be searching in for the next manager will be very small. So if they go down the general job advertisement route lets add to the fact that the club is in total disarray on and off the field, players sold from under managers, no re-investment and a squad of total losers then anyone decent is going to say 'no thanks' if they even pick up the phone. I never thought I would say it but I miss Waggot. How have we got to the point where the people in charge are so under qualified and completely out of their depth?!? Quote
joey_big_nose Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago (edited) Detached infamously bad owner + Terrible press about pitch + fan base in revolt + in ability to retain good players + lack of Championship experience in squad + joke of leadership team + no money to spend + transfer window already gone+ in relegation places + huge amount of injuries= manager who is desperate. We are shopping a level or two below Ismael. We are going to have to get very lucky. Edited 8 hours ago by joey_big_nose 3 Quote
Tricky Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Johnson to beat Wednesday, only for Vignal to be given the job. Quote
Torgeir Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago They won't get someone in who's already in a job but there are still plenty to choose from. I would get Cifuentes in things were looking a little better, but we need a 'quickfix' for the season so I'm not too sure. I hope we stay clear of Rowett and especially Russell Martin. 1 Quote
CrouchingNunhiddenCucumber Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago This really feels like an inflection point as whatever happened with VI it's clear that there isn't a plan in place on who to replace him with. The bloke was a bang average manager but he was about the standard we should expect given the abilities of Pasha & Gestede at running a football club. I can't believe it's taken this long but it really feels like Blackburn Rovers are very close to imploding as I think the next appointment will be an Owen Coyle/Steve Kean type and we will plummet into League One. I don't think the likes of Martin would touch us even if we wanted him. It will end up being someone who would do well to get a job in League One, just because for someone whose can realistically compete for a decent Championship job will see taking us on as too risky for their career. A bad few months with us could knock them down a division in their next job. Its different in the summer if you have a window and a full pre seaso. But here anyone decent knows they will be hostage to the clown show. Not having any credible football people at all (such as Waggott like him or loathe him ) a manager has to ask himself will he risk their future success for Gestede and Suhail... Rowett has such a bad recent cv he might go for us in a desperate move. Edited 7 hours ago by joey_big_nose Quote
Torgeir Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago If it's not only for the season, then taking on the job of getting us back out of League One isn't such a bad proposition for the likes of Cifuentes etc. I hope whoever comes in decides his own captain and insists that we sign Tronstad to a new contract 🙂 Quote
