Mowbray has been backed.He has spent close to 15 million on Brererton ,Gallagher and Armstrong. Downing,Holtby and Johnson will also have been given hefty signing on fees. Christ plenty of reasons to criticise our owners but no way can Mowbray complain about lack of backing. Rejected a big money bid from West brom for Dack last year,and he has given a host of players improved contracts here. Only player we have sold of any value in his time here has been Raya and it was clear Mowbray didn't fancy him

It beggars belief that some folk are saying Venkys have learned from their mistakes! Here we are 9 years into their time with us STILL worrying that if Mowbray leaves then they’ll employ someone worse. Does that sound like an organisation that has learned from their mistakes??

JHRover issued a challenge the other day for anybody to name one area of the club where we have seen an improvement in the last nine years. That includes ALL aspects of the club. I can't think of any.

Expect another familiar tale. Positive first 10 minutes where we have them on the rack and apply pressure. They hang on in there and weather the storm. Score with their first chance of the game. We feel sorry for ourselves but rally after half time. Have nearly all the possession and pressure but cant score. Eventually get the equaliser and go home with a point. Manager can point towards another 'dominant' display.

We are still accreditted and I am sure if we applied to attend Pressers then we would be allowed to attend. A few years ago when I had more time I did try to go every week. Problem these days is finding time to go.

Just like games at home to Charlton Luton and Huddersfield were all home bankers yeah? No thanks. Can see us losing this one if I’m honest. I think Allardyce definitely put his foot down as far as being forced to sign Kentaro players, perhaps knowing he'd get the boot as a result, but he was still going to make sure he got a payoff. Can't blame him for that but the fact remains Lambert has been the only manager to walk away under Venky's tenure. Technically Kean falls into that category as well, however his court case (and subsequent £1.2m payout) amounted to him suggesting he was forced out (effectively sacked) rather than resigning of his own volition. There is also that interesting article from way back then in which Andy Cole says he was told Kean would replace Allardyce months before it actually happened... If Cole had heard that then you have to think that Allardyce must have gotten wind of it at some point as well, as Andy says...

Have a read of your post again and have a think, as if you honestly don’t think you often come across as juvenile then there’s not a lot else to be said.

The only thing they've learned, as far as I can tell, is that it's better to stay silent and avoid coming anywhere near Blackburn. Otherwise they're still making the same mistakes they were making in the beginning. 9 years and the closest we've come to a genuine manager is Paul Lambert, who saw what was going on here and decided after six months he'd rather be unemployed. The day they employ a genuine, experienced manager and back him with funds is the day I'll believe they might be learning something about running a football club. As long as they keep employing cheap cast-offs who can't or won't get us performing on the pitch I'm of the opinion they have learnt absolutely nothing and moreover after nearly a decade you have to assume they aren't interested in becoming better owners. For whatever reason they just want us to keep ticking along as a loss-making enterprise bouncing between the second and third divisions of English football.

Quite a problem that it is now more than 18 years since the owner/largest shareholder in the club actually wanted to own it, wanted to improve it, wanted to better it and acted on that. I don't need to repeat things about Venkys and their complete lack of interest or pride in Rovers (can't even be bothered to come to the UK to watch the odd game). But even before Venkys we had reluctant and disinterested owners who had no interest in the club or growing and improving it. Admittedly they had the sense to employ capable people to run it for them but they were at best caretakers holding the fort whilst trying to get rid of the club.

So there will be a Wigan offer. But I imagine it will be some convoluted set up instead of £15 anywhere and £1 a kid etc.
