All this sounds like a continuation of the general chaos of the last decade. The common denominator in that period is the owners. The dumbing down of everything we had come to expect as normal is now complete as something that should have been a relatively simple process is made complicated and seems certain to antagonise a large swathe of loyal supporters, many who might just decide enough is enough. The latest news almost seems that anybody requesting a refund will likely be means tested............for your own money.4 points

The deadline won't be a date and time defined by Rovers its an efl/ifollow thing so they can get everything sorted pre kick off. You could of course argue the club should have made more of an effort to stress the deadline to people. My biggest concern is how the whole ifollow service will hold up under increased demand, haven't had much experience of it myself but its supposed to be a bit crap by all accounts under 'normal' demand. Not sure how well its all gonna go down if its continually buffering etc......2 points

Why not? The BBC for example let you select between TV commentary, radio commentary or none at all for their live games...2 points

Yep. And we haven't even offered the credit note either. (Yet) But even now its feeling like any concessions will only be given if enough people complain and the Club are shamed into offering something.2 points

I’m with you there Rev It feels like people who need to ask for refunds are going be feel a level of shame in doing so, it should be no questions asked A holiday we had was cancelled, travel republic sent an email with a form saying the default is a credit note but if we prefer a refund then tick this box, that was it and that’s all that needed to be done here Any pre season should be reduced, they’ve had a long break now so they don’t need as long as normal after 9 games2 points

May as well play you or me at left back by that logic. We’ll never know if it’s the wrong thing unless it happens. Then we can talk about the power of hindsight. Mulgrew was great for this club but should be nowhere near our first team at this stage.2 points

Forget Ayala those wages would be huge. Il throw a name about Bailey Wright went up with pne became a no nonsense type centre back went to Bristol city for 3.5 million finished last few months of the season at Sunderland racking up the motm awards. He’s on a free this summer, Australian international, I’d suggest that would be more realistic if we even actually do look at anyone.2 points

I'm just glad that having decided no refunds for struggling fans and receiving his full salary at least Waggott still gets to go and watch the game at Ewood at our expense whilst we all have to sit at home struggling to stream it onto a laptop. Them and us indeed. Stay at home, shut up, dont you dare harm the club by expecting money back, be grateful for the streaming but make sure you cough up again next year. We need that money to pay 6 figure salaries out so Waggott and his mates can go and watch.1 point

brereton reminds me of the player i used to laugh at in a sports comic,he was fantastic in training and reserve teams but everytime he played in front of a crowd he`d break down and freeze, the manager tried hypnosis, exorcism, blasting crowd insults at him from a megaphone, everything,it did`nt work and they had to let him go in the end,he broke all sunday league records but whenever his team got near any silverware and drew a crowd of more than 20 he`d go back to his old ways?1 point

At one stage you could have choice of home commentary, away commentary and no commentary (just crowd noise) , for a long while whatever you chose , it was just real crowd noise about 30 seconds behind the game. This season it just defaults to your teams commentary (with background crowd noise) , still about 10 seconds behind the visuals and sometimes they forget to plug their mics in for the commentary Despite all ifollows faults it does seem to be improving season after season , looking forward to seeing how the servers hold up to the increase in streamers, as the biggest viewership for one game prior was 4500 viewers (Luton v Portsmouth , 2019)1 point

Surely though the whole point of testing is that everyone can be retested again in 2-3 days and only those who are positive need to self isolate and the rest are clear to play and can carry on as normal. If the number of positive tests was substantial enough on retest (presumably a sort of number that has previously been discussed between the Clubs )then that might be grounds for the Club in question to request a postponement. We'd never get restarted if we go to ground everytime there's the odd positive test, 8 positives out of over 2200 tests carried out isn't pad at all imo.1 point

We'll try and time their release for the same week as a vaccine goes into production. I'm afraid the minutes of the forum and the club statement from earlier this week just don't tally. The club statement is clear that refunds are not being offered, it goes as far as it can to tell people not to bother even thinking about them and attempts to guilt trip fans thinking of doing so into keeping quiet. Now in these minutes Waggott 'hopes' that the 'majority' would 'accept this' and plans a message to be released once all the codes have been sent out. Presumably therefore those who redeem their codes are in effect accepting the alternative and are waiving their right to a refund, and Waggott hopes the number left over who can't/won't use I Follow and still seek recompense will be very small in number. I'm still not sure why if businesses small and large around the country and world can continue to operate remotely that the billionaire heads of an international conglomerate can't use Teams to tell their very well paid CEO what is happening. You'd think they would want kits and tickets on sale NOW to bring some much needed cash in. Yet here we are, club shop still shut, still getting rid of the left overs at £30 a time.1 point

Nah, not buying it. Sorry. I had a quick look through my tender list for work. During the Covid-19 lockdown I helped to secure over £10m worth of groundworks schemes, £3.5m brickwork scheme and a £1.2m ground remediation contract. I did this by remote working, zoom meetings, Microsoft Teams and generally a bit of endeavour from everyone. If a small construction surveying firm based in Shropshire can do that 'remotely' why can't business mogul Waggot and multi-national business moguls Venkys not sit down and discuss budgets? It's bullshit. Another excuse for why we will be once again behind the curve. As for the refund the club should be making it much easier to recieve a refund if required. There's no reason to wait 10 - 14 days, nor is there a reason for the customer to be approaching the producer for their money back. They should be making the process as easy and quick as possible because, for all of their financial difficulties, the man on the street is facing more.1 point

Its funny you say that, I do wonder if we'll see players getting booked for spitting or celebrating too closely with their pals1 point

I’m in the minority but I rate Bell, not in Nyambe’s league but a decent enough full back for now and would keep him as a squad player Makes the odd mistake but few as bad as Cunningham against West Brom earlier in the season.1 point

My feelings about this weekend’s match at this moment are of morbid curiosity. But I’m not worried, they will soon return to deep disappointment. If we can beat Bristol then all of a sudden things will get a lot more interesting. Of course... we won’t. But we might! The life of a Rovers fan.1 point
