CAPT KAYOS Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 Well folks, I've put some money on us to win tonight as I felt the odds were too good to turn down, so expect a defeat. Which is the very reason why I haven't even though I am confident we can get something- as I have said before I have never won on Rovers re the outcome of a match. Anyway, knowing Rovers we lose to Watford yet could go to Chelski and win - but bearing in mind our record in the Smog this season doesn't hold much hope and given Chelski unbeaten record at the Bridge. In addition, I also work on a philosphy that appears to happen quite alot of the time -that is teams that have been on runs scoring goals ie us, tend to come a cropper big style to a team who have been struggling, moreso in the scoring dept something you could probably could have said of the rent boys recently. So I am in abit of well how do I feel/think we will do sort of way - I have the rumble in my belly that we will win, which from memory has seen us get something from games when it happens and their unbeaten run does have to come to an end at some point so why not us? .... but I don't want too predict a win in case I am tempting fate!!
ABBEY Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 10/1 on betfair. theres not one at the of my street tho and i cant be arsed with opening an account.
pleasure Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 bound to win this one, (cos i'm not going, and i suffered the watford the debacle last wk). chelsea 1-2 rovers shev mcCarthy MGP.
herbergeehh Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 Just noticed Lawro actually thought Luton would beat us 2-1 last Saturday.. good man! 2-1 Chelsea tonight -Drogba *2 -Benni
OJRovers Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 Referee: G Poll Is this his first Chelsea game since he sent off Terry? If so he will get a hard time by their fans - and may want to 'even things up' again this time by ruling in their favour. I've said before, he is a 'sensationalist' ref who likes the limelight.
3rdpillar Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 Referee: G Poll ............ I've said before, he is a 'sensalationalist' ref who likes the limelight. Great, thats just great, absoulutly bleedin marvelous!
Exiled in Toronto Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 I fully expcet us to win this 2-0, Benni and MGP

Was thinking "The Thing From Tring" would be discuffed at this "low profile" game but then realised that there is always the prospect of touchline shenanigans with Mr Warnock. (The Yorkshire one, not the Scouse one) Then of course I realised Neil Warnock isn't Chelsea manager. I'll get my coat.
Finch Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 railway?police?petrol?radio? very good. As for us, the words "snowball" and "hell" spring to mind. Not a rout, but a comfortable win for Chelsea none-the-less 2-0
Cocker Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 why is Jeffers not in the squad again? Cos he is poo
gazsimm Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 Cos he is poo he is not poo, i think Nonda is poo and i rather have Jeffers on the bench then Nonda
RevidgeBlue Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 Fairly dismayed that the LT seem to think that from Saturday's line up Tugay may come into a 5 man midfield with Derbyshire dropping to the bench. If we're going to get anything from tonight we need to get right at them when we have the chance (especially with Terry out/not fully fit) If we sit tamely back trying to keep it tight we'll hand all the offensive possession to them, more likely than not concede at some point and hand the game to them on a plate.
b12_simon Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 I don't see us getting much from Chelsea, but as we've no central midfield and they've no width: it could make for a very entertaining game. Simon
T4E Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 he is not poo, i think Nonda is poo and i rather have Jeffers on the bench then Nonda Jeffers is poo and you know it. Got a funny feeling about tonight, I think we might just do it.
Shabani Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 is this game on in any pubs in teh Ribble Valley area???

Rev, if we play 442 we are going to get destroyed. Lampard, Ballack, Essien will all have acres and acres of room without Robbie to hassle them. I don't really see how Hughes has a choice. Derbs could play right wing I suppose, although it's not that likely. It's the only way he is going to start. With 451 we have a smallish chance of a draw. 442 and we will lose.
Nayef Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 Quick question - Are tickets available at the turnstiles tonight?
Shabani Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 yes For those Rovers fans with deep pockets and absent minds, tickets will be on sale on the night of the game.
Nayef Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 Oh man...just what I didn't want to hear. Oh well, off I go then.
RoyRover Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 If we could get a point then I'd be happy, but I don't see us getting a thing from this one. 2-1 Chelsea.
Presty On Tour Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 i've got a fiver on ryan nelsen to score first at 33/1. the fact he has never scored for rovers can be viewed in different ways the admiral is going to lead bu example
cn_barlow Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 i'll go for 1-1 draw with Christopher Samba (with his foot!!) for us I think 4-5-1 might be the way to go... Derbyshire is not there yet to have an effect against the like of Chelsea, while Nonda is too lazy.
