bob fleming Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 Harder than when Howard Kendall broke the netting? Absolutely. Proper goal nets at Stoke - not that late 1970's weak spaghetti stuff. 3 - 0 Rovers. We'll pass them to death. Andrews, Julian Joachim and Stan Olic.

brfcs5359 Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 Tony Finnigan...aka Arthur Daley Went to buy an away tkt one afternoon down at the old tkt office on Nuttall street and this fella must have spent 20mins trying to sell me some "bling" from his holdall. The girls in the tkt office were said it was a regular occurrence! yeh but he hit a 30 yarder in at Turf which automatically qualifies you for 'Rovers Legend' status.
1864roverite Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 2-0 Rovers first pub in Prague and found A ROVERS shirt, QUALITY
joey_big_nose Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 i know this is tempting fate, but i think against a team like Hull we can kind of use the game to try out other serious options for the season. Would like to see Carlos (if hes fit) used just behind Roque, and see what he can really do. Robinson Ooijer Samba Nelsen Warnock Reid Dunn Moko Pedersen Carlos Roque that maybe for me No way Roberts will get dropped after his performance last week.
CrazyIvan Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 yeh but he hit a 30 yarder in at Turf which automatically qualifies you for 'Rovers Legend' status. Logically that means Jason McAteer and Marcus Bent are both Rovers Legends!
philipl Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 Phil Brown- Hull's objective is to turn Saturday into a Championship game
roversWASmylife Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 Got my ticket for this so I'm looking forward to it. Rovers 2 - 0 Hull Need to start well.
67splitscreen Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 Lawrenson predicts a 2-1 win Prefer it when ha predicts a defeat, we usually win.
vizcaya Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 Prefer it when ha predicts a defeat, we usually win. Me too Still going for a win though. I think it's doubtful that Carlos will start, but we'll see. Rovers 4 Hull 0, goals from Nelsen, Gamst and Santa (2). And Tugay will come on for the last 3 mins, and hit the cross bar. I was successful in predicting the bookings last time round, so I'll try again: Rovers: 2 yellows; Hull: 2 yellows and 1 red (Windass)
greggyk Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 Hull only had 3 players away on international duty, we had quite a few! Obviously I know this is the problem with having 'quality' players in your squad, but i just hope it wont affect us too much. 1-1 I'm going for
Paul Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 This is simply a must win home game. First home game against a team we should defeat comfortably, hopefully a good crowd so it's set us for a banana skin moment! This is a big test of our ambitions for this season, ince's motivational skills and the team's attitude. Anything less than a decent win will be disappointing.
Rover Down Under Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 hmmmm.... Rovers 4 Hull 1 Santa x2, Peders and Carlos if he plays, Reid if not. Hull - no idea who plays for 'em.
Hughesy Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 4000 Hull tickets sold so far. 3-1 Rovers im going for. RSC x2 and Pedersen
MarkBRFC Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 Could be a good game this actually, both sides will be full of confidence from the opening day so hopefully it will be a good attacking game. I see 2-2. or maybe another 3-2 to us.
almuncle Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 Going for a convincing home win, 3-1 Dunny ,Santa and Gamst, - Emu to score for Hull
AussieinUk Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 Rovers 1 - Hull 2 Want to be wrong and it worked in the last game, against the Toffees.
alexanders Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 Youngest referee for the match Sorry if it's been posted before.
den Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 Youngest referee for the match Sorry if it's been posted before. No chance on earth the he would have been baptised in a Man Utd game.
waggy Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 more worried about this game than the everton game,i will take any result as long as we have a player on the halfway line when hull have a corner
den Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 Bert's fit again. Vogel injured. - Seeing that people have been wondering where he was.
RevidgeBlue Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 Bert's fit again. Vogel injured. - Seeing that people have been wondering where he was. Very positive comments from the manager, doesn't sound like anyone will be able to take their place for granted this season.
den Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 Very positive comments from the manager, doesn't sound like anyone will be able to take their place for granted this season. I thought that as well Rev. Good message to send out to the players.
