chaddyrovers
I just wish Newcastle and Celtic would pull their finger out so we can move on without Hanley and Duffy. will Celtic's bid be down to them getting into the Champions League group stages for them to be able to pay for him

Salgado Is Still A Hero
Celtic have got 50,000 season ticket holders, they've got quite a lot of money, their board are just tight.Rodgers wouldn't have gone there without funds and he won't have gone cheap himself. Not sure what the hold up is with Duffy though. Backroom DE. Posted July 19, 2016 Backroom Share Posted July 19, 2016 Most of them were obliged to......they were the 'Bowyer Out' clique who used 'stability' as a sarcastic putdown...... you tend to reap what you sow. Indeed they were, and indeed they have. Most of the 'Bowyer Out' mob have now stopped going since he left. Can one of you explain the 'you reap what you sow' part? I'm curious, seeing as we're not really in any better or worse position than we were under GB. Also the fans seem to have no consideration from Venky's, so, again, how has any fan who wanted "Bowyer Out" reaped or sown anything? The only ones who have done either are Venky's. chor808
Do we know if they have clauses? Chaddy it is an honest question do we know if the loan players have clauses? I did not read it when they signed, would this sort of thing even be anounced? I don't like relying on loans..
mustard
Swap the 8 for a 5 and you've got Lambert. You and many others raved over him. Funny old game. If you honestly think Coyle is as good a manager as Lambert, you need to give your head a wobble. Most of them were obliged to......they were the 'Bowyer Out' clique who used 'stability' as a sarcastic putdown...... you tend to reap what you sow. So Bowyer didn't waste the last of the pennies Venky's were willing to put in on a push for mid-table? And he didn't leave us teetering dangerously close to a run-in with relegation? Ok then. Speedie Dived
Coyle will be aiming for top half finish in my view. Not being negative, just realistic..... He has more chance of learning to fly. If you honestly think Coyle is as good a manager as Lambert, you need to give your head a wobble. So Bowyer didn't waste the last of the pennies Venky's were willing to put in on a push for mid-table? And he didn't leave us teetering dangerously close to a run-in with relegation? Ok then. Bowyer wasn't given anything to waste. He had to slash 20 million off the wage bill. He made the club money.

Lambert got back to back promotions at Norwich, took Wycombe on a cup run, had a poisoned chalice job at Villa which was doomed to fail, what has coyle done to even come close
den
Bowyer wasn't given anything to waste. He had to slash 20 million off the wage bill. He made the club money. He brought in 37 players of his own choice and was taking us down IMO? What's this love in with Bowyer? He gave us some of the worst football seen at Ewood. It was awful. So did Steve Kean in our final PL season. So what? He still ultimately wasted what he was given as we couldn't ever get over the finishing line when it mattered. He still ultimately wasted what he was given as we couldn't ever get over the finishing line when it mattered. Our final parachute payments were wasted on this nice guy project. Why are the Raos such slow learners? The football under lambert was certainly no better, in fact, quite often it was worse in my opinion. And yet the only players that people are sad to see the back of are the ones Lambert brought in. It's churlish to have a pop at the guy when he was sold one thing at the interview and it wasn't backed up when the time came. The only non-YesMan out of the lot of them since Sam. He gave us some of the worst football seen at Ewood. It was awful. No love in. IMO he stepped in and saved the club at a vital time and with a little backing could have kicked on. It's been no worse than anything we have witnessed for a long time at Ewood. So did Steve Kean in our final PL season. So what? He still ultimately wasted what he was given as we couldn't ever get over the finishing line when it mattered. Football is not as black and white as 'getting over the line' especially at our club. We couldn't see the line for years.

Well, Bowyer's target was apparently playoffs at the very least and he failed both times (second season by some distance), so that's fairly black and white is it not?
