Ricceh Posted Sunday at 06:11 Posted Sunday at 06:11 Wouldn't surprise me to see Wrexham sweep him up now they're going to try and buy the league. Quote
BankEnd Rover Posted Sunday at 07:00 Posted Sunday at 07:00 You can see what Eustace meant to Dolan, but yet he's playing the best football of his life under Val - Hopefully Dolan appreciates that as much and signs a deal...I doubt it mind. Quote
dingles staying down 4ever Posted Sunday at 07:15 Posted Sunday at 07:15 (edited) I agree that Dolan is playing his best football presently so three things have crossed my mind. First is it because he has already agreed a move so the pressure is off and he can relax and play football or b the premier clubs he thinks would come in for haven't so he is trying to impress? or C especially after seeing him yesterday after the game that the coach has found a way to get him playing. If it is C, then we have to be wary as the coach average 50 games a job means giving Dolan a massive new contract means in another 40 games the very average Dolan may return as Valerian does his usual thing and is no longer at Rovers. Look what happened to JRC after JDT left Edited Sunday at 07:17 by dingles staying down 4ever Quote

Popular Post arbitro Posted Sunday at 07:26 Popular Post Posted Sunday at 07:26 Dolan has always been an enigma who could excite and frustrate us in equal measure. He has probably put together the best run of his Rovers career recently and has been consistently picked by four managers. From his demeanour when he was substituted and at the end I would think he's going and has known this for a while. But we should praise him as his effort and commitment has never been doubted unlike Brereton and Rothwell who effectively downed tools. 32 Quote
Popular Post DuffsLeftPeg Posted Sunday at 19:40 Popular Post Posted Sunday at 19:40 I’ve heard Dolan has been offered £8k a week on similar terms. I don’t blame him for not signing if that’s true, given his output in terms of Championship goals & assists this season is better than anyone else at the club. Meanwhile some fans will say he’s been average and are happy to see him leave when we know full well he won’t be replaced with the same level of quality, commitment or appearance record at our level - likely a loan or a short term deal. #VenkysOut Zero Progress, Zero Ambition and nothing changes until they sell up 11 Quote

He's worth a double figure weekly wage imo and it's a proper investment instead of pissing 20k a week away on the likes of Dennis or Poveda types. 9 Quote
norwichblue Posted Sunday at 21:32 Posted Sunday at 21:32 Tell you what, I’m going to be pretty sad when this guy leaves. He can have frustrating games sure, but he has ALWAYS played for the badge, and he is going from strength to strength of late (and is just 23!). He seems like an all round top guy too. Big up Ty Dolan. Wish him all the best. 9 Quote
47er Posted Sunday at 22:05 Posted Sunday at 22:05 The criticism of Dolan has always been "there's no end product". Well that is no longer true, in assists and goals he's had a terrific season and we will not replace him like for like. Just another disrespected by Venkys. 6 Quote
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted Monday at 07:44 Posted Monday at 07:44 He seems to have upped his game since Ismael arrived. Or maybe he’s just putting himself in the shop window ? 3 Quote

Or maybe he’s just putting himself in the shop window ? I think he has recently found the final product to his game that we have been waiting for since he arrived. It's just our luck that it has been found now. 18 months ago if he had signed a new contract it would have hardly been earth shattering, I'd have been very happy as im confident his replacement will be a down grade. His upturn in form has made it all the worse that he can leave for a nominal fee now. The bosman rule really is pants in these situations as players hold all the cards, up to a couple of weeks ago the Premier League champions had 3 of their best players waiting out to see if they fancied staying beyond 2 months time. Tomphil2 Posted Monday at 08:38 Posted Monday at 08:38 If they'd invested in him when they should have then they'd be looking at a nice fee now plus add ons if there was genuine interest and if not we'd still have a year or two of him to hit his peak. BBD, Rothwell, Nyambe, Lenihen, now Dolan all allowed to walk out of the building for free. Utterly pathetic the whole board need sacking but no doubt to India if they are even questioned they'll lay blame on Mowbray, Venus, Broughton and say this is why we needed Rudy. The COO and CEO are ultimately responsible for all this regardless of whatever other characters might have been involved, the heads of the club should stand to account ! 3 Quote
chaddyrovers Posted Monday at 08:43 Posted Monday at 08:43 Dolan has been offered a new contract by Rovers but he hasnt signed it. Maybe he will or wont sign a new contract.. it was only a couple of months ago people were slagging him off and pleased he was leaving. Ive said months I would be offering a 4 years contract at 15k a week. Making him one of our highest earners here Quote

They aren't interested in making him a high earner as the project is to cut costs. 5 Quote
roversfan99 Posted Monday at 08:51 Posted Monday at 08:51 We also have a number of other key players who have said that they havent been offered a new deal so it sums it up. Players willing to sit down who are critical to the team yet absolutely nothing forthcoming. 1 Quote
Mercer Posted Monday at 09:03 Posted Monday at 09:03 Never really been a Dolan fan, however, in recent games he's been in the form of his life. If what has been posted above is correct (on £4k pw and now offered £8k) it's both a feckin disgrace and nonsensical. Let's put that into context - it's roughly an extra £200k per annum and we are presently shelling out circa £400k over 5 months for Dennis! Just how much do Rovers think a half decent replacement will cost!?!? It's the economics and management of a mad house. Ewood sadly remains an ambitionless and nous free zone. 1 Quote
davulsukur Posted Monday at 09:15 Posted Monday at 09:15 Dolan has (rightly) had his critics over the last few season, feels like we've put all the work in developing him as a player and now someone else is going to reap the benefits of all our work. Poor, from the club side that we haven't protected our investment. He'll assess his options as a minimum but on a free (even with a small fee to us) he'll have plenty of choice where to move and he'll get better wages at most other clubs. 1 Quote

Mattyblue Posted Monday at 09:23 Posted Monday at 09:23 People ‘slagging him off’ on here for years don’t understand this division. Good player at this level and grafts his arse off week in week out. The wage he’s been on relative to other nailed on first teamers has been a joke for years and no wonder he’s looking elsewhere. 3 Quote

arbitro Posted Monday at 09:31 Posted Monday at 09:31 If he has been offered a deal worth £8k a week it sums us up as a club with priorities in the wrong place when you consider he will have just about have parity with a useless CEO. One is an asset, the other is liability. 8 Quote
