Ancelotti got them to 8th didn't he? Its a low finish for a manager of his quality but if he underachieved he underachieverd a damn sight better than frank

Everton is a mess and Lampard is not good enough. Both can be true at the same time.

Ownership issues + bad manager = trouble. Rovers fans are all too aware of this calculation.

I struggle to understand your continued defence of Lampard.

They finished 10th in Ancelotti's only full season; BBC - Ancelotti leaves Everton

His win % was still better than the 5 previous managers at over 40%. In contrast, Lampard won 9 games giving him a less than 25% win rate.

I'm not going to go back through your posts but you have defended Lampard over and over since he was appointed at Everton. I (others too) have continually pulled you up on it.

You've gone from explicitly stating that he was the man for the job, to give him time, and now that he's been fired your stance is that it's the club that's in a mess, therefore not Lampard's fault as nobody would do a good job.

Mate, it's a wind up.There's hypocrisy all over the place, as you repeatedly state. Its utterly implausible that he doesn't know that's what he has been doing. 

Even the club being such a mess it impacts every manager, was a point I made about Rovers (and references Everton as another example) the other day, which wasn't recognised whatsoever. The goal posts shift constantly to piss people off. No other explanation for such inconsistencies. 

Back on topic - Everton are goosed with or without Lampard.

Dyche will see Everton safe this season, after which it'll pan out in the same way that Allardyce panned out; decent league position, but never good enough for supporters with delusions of grandeur.

Like Allardyce, Dyche will always be tarred by the "unfashionable" brush. Once Everton stay up, their supporters will be looking to bin him off for the next fashionable manager at the earliest opportunity.

I wonder how many of their players have clauses that reduce wages upon relegation? I imagine the squad has a lot of over paid mediocrity brought in by the various managers not getting a game.

There are strong rumours that Caicedo is going to Arsenal from Brighton for a big fee. 

Gregg Broughton needs to do some research on how Brighton operate. They've made big money on players whilst also improving their league position over the past few seasons. They are doing something right.

they are a very well run club,who have competent people in all the right places,we used to be run along the same lines,after six months of jdt and greg,i don`t think either of them are much use,add swag and the indians in the mix and it`s a toxic soup with the club destined to have a pne like existance,bouncing between the middle two divisions for eternity🥵

Anyone read the stories that Bielsa wouldn't take over as first team head coach until the summer but would work with the under 21 and academy players whilst an interim manager would take charge of the first team until the summer. Utter bizarre if the reports are true and you can see why they aren't going to appoint him there. Surprised that Everton didn't have a head coach lined up straight away after Lampard sacking. Still need a couple of attacking signings

Think working under Eddie Howe there will help him develop and learn his game more. Seems like he wants out of Everton now
