Josh Windass and Michael Smith have both left Sheffield Wednesday as free agent and Danny Rohl returned to Sheffield Wednesday this week and some of the players weren't happy about his return and he is in talks with the owner there to leave the club. Its appears that Henrik Pedersen will take over as the head coach. 

EFL have rejected Hull bid to sign free agent striker Oli McBurnie

As it stands, I don't think we will get relegated next season. I think 2 places have already gone - Hull and Sheff W. Also think Charlton will struggle and will be the third team. QPR are on a strong downward trajectory too.

Lower mid table as it stands for us right now unless we add some serious attacking talent.

If Trav and Tronstad both go then that could change things and push us into big relegation trouble.

That's my sneaking worry, I have a feeling we'll implode right at the end of the transfer window, with the likes of Travis and/or Tronstad picked off at last minute as it'll be last chance to get a fee for them and won't be time to get a replacement, then I agree we'll be in big trouble. Especially if we still don't have a striker.

We have Yuki Ohashi. Did excellent in his first season and played 6 months before in Japan. He would have 13/14 goals if not for the injury he got. 

We need to be more goal threat from set pieces also

I think you're a bit optimistic there but he did play 1 1/2 seasons last year so it will be interesting to see how he gets on after having a proper rest this year.

You never know, Yuki might have a 'Szmodics' season or the breakthrough like we saw with BBD.

People will scoff, but Szmodics scored just 5 league goals in his first season here, Yuki got 9 whilst adapting to not just a new league, but a new country too, after playing a shed load of games.

As it stands, we certainly need him to shine....

Gueye I'm not as confident with although he does randomly look capable now and then so can hopefully play a part.

It's crunch time for Leonard too, he's managed just 32 appearances now in 3 seasons, simply not good enough at that age, if he spends another season crocked we may as well assign him to the scrap heap I'm afraid. Question marks remain over his ability but he's never going to prove himself from the treatment room or with the odd fleeting substitute appearance here and there.

He took his goal really well last weekend. That was a real strikers goal.

Yes so we're heading into the season with one striker who has a track record of scoring goals. If he gets kicked after 10 mins and is out injured for weeks or months, we're absolutely stuffed.

If you mean you want another striker option with Ohashi and Gueye then I agree here

Seen a couple of " AI predicts the Championship" things yesterday.

One bizarrely had us finishing 4th ( must have been programmed by chaddy) whereas one done by the Lancashire Evening Post had us finishing 17th and PNE 23rd.

17th coincides with where the bookies expect us to finish.

Somewhat of a discrepancy there!

I don't think we'll see a play off push this season, but if Brittain, Travis & Tronstad are here past September 1st then I'm pretty comfortable that we won't be dragged into any danger either.

I think as thing stand we'll finish somewhere between 12th & 18th.

Would the only way that people have thought that his move was correct if he had gone from our bench/under 21s straight into a Premier League starting 11?

He was 5th choice here when he left. When Ayala left, he would have still been 4th choice.

He has instead gone on very well selected loan moves. The first one at Plymouth was probably one of only one or two teams at this level that would have regularly started him. Then onto Stoke who are a step up from Plymouth but again were willing to start him week in week out.

How would he have been better off had he stayed?

Your fans seem to be pretty much in unison in what I have seen in being delighted to see him return.

Our fans seem to be in unison that he made a terrible move leaving. But seems to me that hes really developing and proving himself at Stoke.

I’m genuinely shocked we’ve got him again, I thought he’d get either a Prem or top-end Champo loan. He’s developing very well - comfortably our outfield PotS last season - I’d be pretty surprised if he isn’t a Prem player within the next two or three years.

And he’s only just turned 20..

He’s got the makings of a regular Premiership player if he steers clear of the usual pitfalls. You could see even in his time at Rovers he has the ingredients

No doubt. Being player of the season for a Champo team at 19 is no small deal, especially in that position. You guys will have your opinions (I didn’t realise there was ill-feeling to be honest) but I’d say he’s well ahead of your typical trajectory for a CB
