Stoke isn't too far away so i assume they'll leave any decision and panic until about 10 AM tomorrow.

Anyway in his latest cost cutting exercise Pasha hired a wet suit and a bar and sent a member of the catering staff crawling up the drain with the sharp pole to poke away at any potential blockage up there.

Lanes for Drains wanted £600 but hes done it for 50 quid.

Sunshine and rain forecast for before and during the game Blackburn (Blackburn with Darwen) weather - Met Office

fully expect the game to go ahead and finish

Depends which site you look on. The one thing we know about the weather is you cant accurately forecast it. Regardless of which site you look at, there is a hell of a lot of heavy rain forecast up until kick off. Against Ipswich, the rain didnt start coming down heavy until during the game.

Really frustrating, this. Some weeks ago I bought a couple of tickets to take my eight-year-old to his first game in a year. We are setting off on the 240 mile drive in a few hours, got a hotel booked, to watch the game tomorrow then drive 240 miles back. I can't not go as he will be devastated - especially if the game goes ahead. But there is clearly a likelihood that I'll have to manage the huge disappointment of getting all the way there just to wake up and have it called off. Really not sure what to do. But how ridiculous is it that we are probably the only set of fans thinking like this and fully anticipating our stadium not being fit to hold a full match, again.

I think I'll be risking it, as my son has been so excited for seeing Rovers again, despite my 'expectation management'!!

Preston, Blackpool and Bolton are all at home. I know it's not the same, but you could always take one of those games that clearly won't be at risk in.

I sincerely hope your endeavours are rewarded with a win.

Looking at the Met Office forecast right now I don't think there will be a problem with the game going ahead.

Poor drainage at Ewood, something needs to be done.

Hasta is correct. Against Ipswich a 4pm yellow weather warning for heavy rain was given for "Ewood" & "Waterfall" areas of Blackburn. It came down heavy exactly as they predicted & that's what caused the pitch to be unplayable.

Morishita reminds me of a very very poor Scott Sellars.

Your use of 'very, very' is woefully inadequate.  Add a further 98 times and you will be closer to the mark!

Rovers squeezed this little update into the U21 preview

The clash comes too soon for the likes of Hayden Carter or Jake Garrett, who remain weeks away from returning to match action, whilst Moussa Baradji is a longer-term absentee.

I assume from this that the initial diagnosis of a return for Baradji  during either the October or November international break was over optimistic, as it sounds like that will be the timeframe for Carter & Garrett, whilst Baradji will take longer

So Carter seems to be out for weeks again - the lad is rapidly approaching Grella and Gallagher territory.  The sale of Hyam with no replacement seems more calamitous by the day.

As for Baradji, words almost fail me - IMO, a total feckin nonsense of a loan signing.

If only I could find a bookie to make a bet that the match wont even start let alone finish!!!!!

Would love to know what, if any, addition preparations and precautions Rovers have made to ensure the match both starts and finishes.  I think the answer will most likely be the square root of sweet feck all.

Good job it’s not today; up the road and it’s far worse than it was the day of the Ipswich game

We should have snatched a point against Swansea with a clear penalty, but poor defending gave Swansea a deserved win, hope you get a better result on Saturday 12.30pm.

Got bloody Covid so I'm not coming up after all.

This quote is from the day of the Portsmouth postponement.

“Today’s pitches are designed to accommodate vast amounts of rainfall, but unfortunately ours cannot cope with the rainfall that fell on Saturday, which was in the region of 35ml.

do we know the expected rainfall volumes for tonight ?

Bordering on very close - As i'm reading it, there will be constant rainfall til about 1am and will pick back up HEAVY from 7 til past 1 in the afternoon.

However the weather can be unpredictable at the best of times.

if this weather continues there is no way the game is going ahead,it only started raining against ipswich at  midday and look what happened,it`s monsoon like near chorley, assume it`s the same 7 miles up the road in blackburn,at least we won`t get beat, only by the weather🙂

It started raining against Ipswich at Midday, but it wasn't heavy. It seemed to turn heavy some time around 4pm.

I'd say the weather at the moment is far worse than it was before kick off against Ipswich.

The yellow weather warning for today is both wind & rain but tomorrow its just for wind.

Well I’m at Prague airport about to fly over for the game and getting less confident it goes ahead as time goes on. Also a possibility my flight lands somewhere other than the North west if the weather is as bad as easyJet are telling me. I’d usually be annoyed but the way the club is behaving with the LT If the games off will just spend the day in the pub. Whatever. Don’t care anymore

Worth bearing in mind the river level will continue to rise for some time after it stops raining due to cumulative water run off.

At 3pm just under 0.7m. Normal range peaks out at 1.25m. Above that can become problematic. Just depends how high the outflow from the ground is.
