Sheff U were the worst side coming to Ewood this season...albeit we lose the game ..shocking it's down to the manager. I don't think the team is that bad. All players from last season looks worse this season. Charlton has a team thats on paper is quite thin but they are doing well. The problem is finding a new manager who could turn this around and who is available. Who would that be?

They need a Warnock or an Allardyce.

Experience, know-how, motivational and tactically astute.

Whoever it might be, rest assured we will not be getting him.

I'd like to see us in the 4th division for the first time in our history with 2k ST's sold.

At least there might be a chance that the Venkster's would bugger off for good.

But then again.

Don’t understand why any fan would want this because there’s no guarantee they will leave - ever. Why should they?

Horrible at set pieces.

Good first half, but completely switched off for the second. Baffling substitutions... lose against Southampton and it's time to go, Ismael. Not sure what anyone can get out of this squad though, to be honest. Not many goals in them.

150 years...

Imagine Will Still, Marti Cifuentes and Liam Manning will all get the chop before Ismael. At best we'll be adrift and long gone before he gets the boot. At worst he's still here this time next year as we line up to face Doncaster, sitting somewhere between 18th and 24th in League One.

This team's performance levels always totally collapse immediately after making the substitutions around the hour mark. The players coming on are always downgrades and there is a complete loss of teamwork. The final third of every match under Ismael is a shapeless mess.

Yeah really agree with this. We on the whole have quite a good shape until the subs then it goes to pieces.

That and the giving away soft goals that should be easily coached out has moved me to the "sack" camp.

Its not a great squad but I think there will be managers out there who can do more with it.

That's what we needed for the final 12 games of last season to keep things ticking over.

Probably not. The losses would be much less and they would say the club has become more self-sustainable. Job done and bonuses for two stooges.

Yeah you might be right,  they could also demolish the riverside and build a dry ski slope.

It would be more fun watching the skiers than Venky Rovers.

It is, but yet we are significantly below even the worst this league has to offer. It's certainly not a lack of luck on our end, we're just nowhere near the standard required.

Everyone bar maybe two or three posters on here saw it coming a mile off.

The Academy will be the next thing to go.

Not now. We've had some good prospects come out of it and sold for decent amounts past few seasons.

and he didn’t manage to win one header. He’s useless.

Not debating Gueye - more that either bring him on earlier or don’t bother at all.

Bringing him on at 87 minutes is just taking the piss or not having the balls to say “well he is shit” and put Wharton up front for 5 minutes

I doubt they'll think like that in India when they have to sign the cheques.

No way Ismael gets sacked now. Pasha and Gestede need their scapegoat later in the season. We are going down without question and it'll be long before the season is over. The squad is shockingly bad. No fault of the players that came in, they saw a chance to play in England in the second tier and took it, who wouldn't.

VI is way out of his depth. Tactically clueless. A proven failure of a manager and living up to it. But he's exactly what Pasha & Gestede needed. A 'yes' man who was on the Championship scrap heap with nothing to lose. Although he did lose.....he lost the core of his squad, and unlike JDT & Eustace who had the bollocks to stand up and say "fuck this", he just stood by and went along with it all.

He deserves for his managerial career to be in tatters when his time at Rovers comes to an end.

When a ship gets a hole in it, there's a bloody good chance it's going down. We are like a fucking colander.

Apologies for the language. Don't usually swear on here, but I'm so so angry.

I don't even think anything that has happened will be any surprise to Ismael.

Gestede said during the car crash interviews with Pasha and Waggott that so many players being out of contract in summer would be "an exciting opportunity" to reshape the squad. VI knew what he was taking on.

Nearly all of us  scoffed at the time and predictably the chickens are coming home to roost.
