The referee for the abandoned match was Stephen Martin. For Tuesday's match he is the fourth official as he was for Ipswich's match on Friday night.

Given Ismael said he wasn't consulted about the abandonment but the official line was that he was it seems daft to me to have Martin stood in the technical area for nigh on two hours.

Poor appointing in my view.

Judging by the weather in the next 48 hours this may also be at risk of being called off...Imagine that.

Nah it won’t be as bad like the other one. That was just non stop rain.

Nowt to worry about. Surely those drainage works that Talbot was going on about in the Fans Forum meeting will have been completed by now?

Do the away fans go to home games or is at a case of boycott? They seems more vocal than the home fans/support. We would need them on Tuesday for sure.

Usually in away matches we allow the home team to dictate the tempo and we react accordingly. Our tactics sometimes reflect this by affording them more possession in certain areas and other aspects Generally this is the norm for most Championship games.

In the majority of our home games we haven't really done this but allowed the visitors to dictate how the game is played with the QPR game being a good example. We allowed them to play a really slow tempo and seemed happy to match it.

We have to play home games on our terms and let the opponents come up with a way to combat this and then have another way of playing according to how the game is going.

Great, has there ever been a game abandoned twice for the same reason ?

It won't be if they are winning that's for sure.

An away end like PNE has a high percentage that don’t go to home games very often, though the ones that actually do may get together with pals that sit in different areas at home matches, plus beer and no wonder it’s far more raucous than a sparse Ewood.

I hope it's called off with us winning 5-0, a second postponement might prompt enough ridicule and provoke enough outrage for us to finally do something about the pitch.

The most inevitable loss in our history (allow me a bit of hyperbole), yes we were on our way to beating them once but the football gods are fickle and our home form abysmal!

Hopefully football serves justice.

It absolutely won't I'm afraid.

As @Tom, this is the most inevitable loss you can imagine.

If the footballing gods are feeling particularly mischievous, it'll be the result we point to when we are relegated.

The f*ckload of injuries won't help either. Ipswich are playing a different team on Tuesday.

I've been a bit ambivalent in recent times, for reasons which I suspect a few others share.

But the obvious injustice of the first match has made this a bit of a grudge match and one I really hope we win.

It's a shame that it'll be in front of 10k-12k, as it's the exact kind of game that a decent crowd would give us an edge for,

It’s not really a grudge match as the decision to abandon was correct and nothing to do with Ipswich. The decision to not award a result was also nothing to do with Ipswich.
