What rules have Rovers done apart allow their staff to have extra days off given they are working on 1st January and the 4th January given that when our home games?

what is the EFL really going to do? fine clubs for given staff extra days off cos they are working on 1st January and 4th January?

No idea what you're talking about.

I've never once queried the Club being closed over Christmas or staff having the time off.

My gripe is that that shouldn't have the slightest bearing whatsoever on the ability to sell online digital tickets.

Take a breath and think about what people are saying properly for once before leaping instantly down their throats in defence of the Club.

as I said to you Rev in the same reply to you

Yes granted given they are buying them online and are digital ticket then they should have remain on sale but no official coach travel tickets

will you acknowledge that was in the reply to yourself before you reply

I simply asked the question RF99 but as per usual you like to twist it.

Going Sheffield Wednesday game?

They haven't open on Monday's for over 12 months now.

he isn't on the Rovers fan forum anymore. I don't think anyone from BRFCS is

Im not twisting anything. Youve dominated the thread doing everything you can to deflect and divert blame away from the club.

I also find your consistent desire to know whether I am attending every game when its totally irrelevant to be a little strange. But no, I am not going.

I simply asked a question instead of blaming Rovers without the facts, now some people have contacted Sheff Wed and find out what the situation actually is.

It was a simple question, you are very happy to ask questions and want them answering but don't like answering that like whether you are boycotting the Watford game. I was very open saying no I won't and why I won't whether respecting others who will or are boycotting already

Errrr......apologies, you didnt "say" it as such you posted EFL guidelines which I thought we were clearly in breach of.  If I've misinterpreted the  guidelines you posted I apologise.

I thought they said the away side were under a duty to put tickets on sale for their fans if the Home side requested it etc etc.

There’s no apology necessary - I just wanted to check I wasn’t going mad 😄😄

I’ve re-read the regulation and can see where you’re coming from - whether what Rovers have done constitutes a breach, I’m really not sure.

Typical Rovers approach: ascertain the bare minimum they can get away with, shave a bit more off and crack on with the resultant husk.

Surprised at not being open at all before Tuesday... we must be the only business not doing a post-Christmas sale. Could have had one big messy one-off sale and tickets job at Roverstore today... kids with Christmas money, little to no other local matches on, etc., etc.

Ho hum. It must be those pesky fans not cementing their plans a week out in the busiest and most expensive time of year that are to blame.

Just spoke to Wednesday. They are incredulous that our ticket office is closed. Had loads of inquiries from Rovers fans

Can’t afford the players for the championship

can’t afford the pitch for the championship

can’t afford the salaries of the staff for a club in the championship

So poor

It's worse in a way because we can afford all of those things - the owners/Suhail are just actively choosing not to adequately fund any of these areas.

This football club. Utterly bonkers.

What's the bet that this is a petulant retaliation to the calls for a boycott of home matches?

They're such a bunch of small timers. Pathetic.

I've not really read through the thread, what's going on?

Why did sales go off so early for this one?

Because the people running the Rovers are a bunch of arseholes.

Let’s summarise the position here…

- Rovers sell digital tickets online

- the Sheff Weds tickets are digital

- home fans can still buy them via SWFC

- away fans can’t buy them from Rovers nor Wednesday (for away areas of Hillsborough)

Its boff all to do with staff “holiday entitlements”, the club shop sometimes not opening on Mondays or revenge for the boycott call.

Someone, somewhere, with authority at Rovers has decided to take them off sale on the Rovers website.

The key questions to ask are “who” & “why” because I can’t think of any positive reason for this course of action. 🤷‍♂️

Thats correct, someone has decided to take them off sale. I will bet my bottom dollar that no one will be able to find out who it was and what the reason is.

Yet again it’s a two fingers up to the fans with no one accountable.

Will they send Greg Broughton out to be the fall guy and explain it away? If he was still here, they probably would!!!

Would be good if the press published this story.

Was it a management decision or down to a ticket office blunder through lack of basic skills.

This is the same club that should we progress in the FA cup then land a home tie against modest opposition will boldly proclaim...'This is a digital ticket only game'..

There'll be no problem buying them then will there.

And in what realm do you need the club shop open or staff to not be on holiday to sell tickets online ?

There's a BBC sports journalist and Rovers fan very aware of this now so hopefully it gets called out for what it is.

Surely Wednesday can make some available on the day? They need the money and will be aware that they could sell another couple of hundred potentially.

We might have a chance here 😉

https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/25725108.sheffield-wednesdays-injury-blows-blackburn-rovers/

Sheffield Wednesday have their own injury crisis as their wounded squad prepares to host Blackburn Rovers.

Both teams will be without a flux of players with neither squad close to full health. Rovers have nine players who could miss Monday night's game.

The Owls are even more threadbare after being unable to add to their squad during the summer. Against Hull City, goalkeeper Ethan Horvath was the only senior player (pretty sure this should read "only senior player on the bench") with youngster Jarvis Thornton also thrown in for his full debut.

Max Lowe, George Brown, Nathan Chalobah and Ike Ugbo have all sustained hamstring problems, adding to the Owls boss' woes.

“I think Max (Lowe) will be out four to six weeks," Pedersen told The Star.

“Two days ago in training we had George Brown, also with a hamstring, and he will also be out for four, six or eight weeks now. I wait for the latest update, but it will also be a long one.

“It will be four to six weeks, I think, for Nathan (Chalobah). Ike (Ugbo) is injured too. He has a nerve in the back side around his hamstring, so he's also injured.

“I don't know how long it will take [for him to recover]. I have no update for this one.”

Charlie McNeil is also absent with a rib injury sustained against Ipswich Town which left him hospitalised. He hasn't trained since.

Wednesday did collect their first point in more than two months against Hull, though they were pegged back twice.

“I think it was a deserved point today,” Pedersen reflected.

“Our boys played a really, really good game - especially in the first 30 minutes, we were very strong.

“The second half was not as dominant as the first, but you can see that all the players are doing everything that they can to keep up the discipline and the belief.

"They’re working so hard, and how the senior players integrated the young players today - we had six senior players plus our second goalkeeper, and the rest were U21 players - and big respect to the young guys, but also the seniors for how they integrated them.

“We’re disappointed when we’re not winning, but it was nice to get a point again."

Blame the fax machine or the web site being hacked. No one to blame at the club, as no one is accountable.

It's a must win game against a team that are in administration, barely have a squad, haven't won at home, have only won 1 game all season and will like field a team largely made up of youngsters.

Absolutely no way are we winning this. When do Rovers ever do what they need to do?
