There are things Ismael is responsible for; I’m not so sure he can be blamed for the departure of so many of our players at the end of last season. More than anything, that is why we’ve dropped 13 places.

Its all depends on hoe "aligned" he is

If he is, he will still be here at the end of February, if he has a shred of self resect, he will be long gone by then

Unfortunately, the same will apply to whoever replaces him

"The season is not over in October, it is over in May so we have a lot of time to adjust everything," he said.

Was always going to be the approach. I remember asking on the transfer thread over the summer how long you would have to give the new 'alignment' before you could judge. Ranged from 10 games to end of season. And if it is relegation or just avoiding the drop it will be 'give it until the new season for players to bed in'.....

Don't get the reference and I disagree.

Gueye is obviously not happy playing for this particular manager and I can't say I blame him.

Can we not just agree in a functioning Blackburn Rovers neither of them would be anywhere near the club?

Thought a draw was the right result, even though Charlton had the better chances.

3 young CBs did well, despite a few rash balls forward, Atcheson is a real unit and will definitely grow to be a decent CB...All 3 I'd love to start ahead of the shite of Miller and McLaughlin who were both poor, again!

Cantwell is a bad smell, not the captain we need and honestly in possession is so wasteful. He holds onto the ball way too long and thinks everytime he shields the ball and falls it's going to be a foul - When actually he ahould of played the ball earlier...He also has the worst shot on any player we have...As soon as others come back I'd personally drop him.

stand out guys today

baradji, showed us what a decent player he is,continually available for the ball, got into space and scored two good goal, the header was particularly good

yuki, never stopped running and got a lot of rough treatment from the charlton centre backs, never gave up though despite not getting a lot of chances

I haven’t seen Gueye play a single good 90 minutes for us.

12 Angry Men-the stand out member of the jury...lol

But Gueye is shit all on his own...

The excuse used to be FFP limiting our transfer business. Surely with the player sales in recent years that’s not the issue. It comes down to the well is dry from India. If that’s the case why do they want to keep the club?

It’s stupid to say our squad has regressed from last season. Says Val

He goes on to say “"This is stupid analysis. We didn't lose any quality (in the squad) we reduced the age”

Bullshit. Says I.

So he may just be a cheap, yes man to Pasha and Gestede’s plan, but when you come out with quotes like that don’t be surprised if people turn on you. At least you always thought Eustace and JDT wanted to drive the club forward.

He deserves to go for that comment alone!

People are being overly harsh again. Yes a home draw with Charlton is a poor result, but the context matters. Coming from 2 nil down to get a point (and prevent a relegation rival gaining 3 points) is commendable when you consider how utterly terrible the match day squad is and how exhausted the few remaining fit players must be. Such was the implausibility of a comeback, I was in the process of writing a post about forfeiting the match when Baradji scored the first of his goals. Everything is wrong off the pitch, but the limited players that we have worked hard and salvaged something against the odds.

A decent point, with the big injury list we've got at the moment..Best I've seen from Baradji in a Rovers shirt, probably would have had his hat trick, if he hadn't been taken off. Things are looking up, when we get Alibousi back alongside Baradji. We could have won it, if the ref had given the clear penalty. Good battling performance from Rovers.

Fair enough...The available players did show something..

Ismael says we are in an emergency, we will probably sign Duncan Watmore man and some rejects no championship club will touch.

Duncan Whatmore ffs! He hasn't had a club since Millwall released him in May. Will take weeks to get him match fit. Another useless January striker signing to follow Woodrow and Dennis who stunk the place out last season.

I assumed whatmore was a sarcastic suggestion

The stupid statement is that we didn't lose any quality. We have done fine replacing Brittain, but nobody has come in to adequately replace Travis in his role, or Hyam.

If he is happy with what he's been given, then he has to answer how he took a team from the playoffs to the cusp of relegation in a year. But I'm sure he'd just give hard luck stories about injuries and referees.
