De Neve is the least positional aware player I have ever seen. No idea how him and Alebiosu came from same level.

Yea for sure but Pratt has been good and Wharton will be out for a bit yet but McLaughlin can play left centre back as well so the need for him was dubious.

This Ipswich is night and day from the one we played twice before Xmas. Full of confidence, especially at the back. When we get into their final third there is no panic whatsoever, just confidence that they will pinch the ball back off us and then they do. Also very comfortable pinging it out from the back and knocking it past us. The only time it didn't work was when Baradji has poleaxed the centre half from behind just now. Commentators don't think it was a foul 😂

It's pretty incredible that the 3 'experienced'  centre backs we have signed are all worse than our academy lads.

Left footed centre backs blah blah blah. It’s all bollocks. You need centre halves who don’t put the ball in their own net in that position, and don’t watch the man and let him have a free header when the ball is coming the other way. It’s basic defending.
If we have two Dom Hyams either side of a Danny Batth we don’t concede either of those goals. Might not be able to play a cultured ball up the left wing from the back though. 🙄
