hesfromburn Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 mceachran is everyhting Murphy isnt. quick can pass and closes down he is one of the main reasons middlesborough are seeing so much of the ball.
Doug Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 Poor performances by - Orr, Olsson, Ribeiro, Dann, Murphy. All are passengers after that first half showing.
Backroom DE. Posted September 21, 2012 Backroom Posted September 21, 2012 Nunes has actually looked somewhat threatening. He's basically the only one. An awful half by an awful team. Top of the league and unbeaten, it's like some kind of twisted joke. Kean should be sacked at half time.
The Rover of Finland Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 Lucky to be down just by one
perthblue02 Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 There is no doubting we have some decent players or players that could be decent, its obvious the problems are a ) we don't play as a team Players ability seems to go backwards once they arrive at Rovers c) Instead of defending from the front we start defending in our own six yard box d) Fitness is still a problem Does training consist of standing at the bar listening to two drunks from North of the border rabbiting on
jimw1988 Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 Thank god I got those beers. Just shocking.
LeChuck Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 Murphy isn't doing the role he played at Fulham. He should be doing the role that Scholes plays nowadays; basically playing around the centre circle, collecting the ball from the back four every time and starting attacks. For some reason Kean has him running all over the shop, then when he gets the ball we have absolutely nobody moving for him to pass it to. Dann and Orr just thump it forward every time they get it as well. The "here for the money" thing is very unfair. He's actually doing a lot of running, more than he should be. It's Kean's ineptitude in setting up a functioning team unit that is making him look bad - he hasn't become a poor/lazy footballer after nearly 20 years of being an excellent pro.
Rovermatt Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 Utter ######. How are we top of the league? The lack of a discernible gameplan or tactical nous is startling, especially at home. Just look at the gaping holes between each of our players. Horrifying. The commentator is proving, once more, that Sky Sports is in the can for Steve Kean.
bubblerrovers Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 When will this Kean nightmare end, its a disgrace this man has a job
RoyRover Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 This is just a continuation of what has gone on since the start of the season. No style of play. All over the place defensively. No one dictating the play. Hoping that someone can create something with a bit of off the cuff skill. Dreadful.
BRFC1995 Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 i'll almost be glad when we are'nt top of the table just does'nt sit right being called leaders especially after that display, fraudsters not leaders
DanLad Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 Can't believe these two idiots (yes, including Hignett) on Sky blaming Givet for the goal. Givet went up for the header, he lost it admittedly, but the rest of the defence then just watch whilst Boro waltz through and the only person trying to get a challenge or block in is Givet - but it's his fault, apparently. This is my first time seeing Rovers this season. Has it been this bad all the time?
Clitherover Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 Was thinking last week, I miss watching games every week and how poor an alternative the radio is. After watching that shower the radio suddenly doesn't seem all that bad.
Mercer Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 Shocking first half, second will continue same way and we will end up winning 2-1. Kean is such a lucky .... - just makes my blood boil.
Mike Graham Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 I do not have Sky telly. Does Cak Keks Coco look pleased with the performance, or is he the usual blank faced prat?
DeadlyDirk Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 Get Rochina on and hope for the best, shambles at the moment, lucky to be only 1-0, we'll probably end up nicking it. Can only hope!
Tim Southampton Rover Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 Woeful performance so far, especially from our central midfield. They've been non-existent.
martmitch Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 some of the worst defensive organisation ive ever seen us play, even going by last seasons standards! i echo the statement made by most, how are we top of the league?
Ferrit Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 How are we not more than 1 behind? Had middlesbrough been remotely more prolific it'd be, and should be 3 or 4.
davulsukur Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 Kean never learns. No shape, awful back line.
